McBeth 0 #1 January 29, 2009 First the touch screen on my Storm wouldn't let me type what I wanted. So I got at 8830 WE and now this one won't tell me when I have a voicemail!

Pokerstar 0 #4 January 30, 2009 That actually is a cell service issue, try turning off hte phone pulling the battery for about 2 min, call and leave yourself a msg, then put the battery back in. Should be good to go, I have the 8830WE on Sprint, and this happens every now and then. Rare, though.Fortunately, I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug, uh, regimen to keep my mind, you know, uh, limber. --- The Dude ---

McBeth 0 #8 February 13, 2009 Well I had to go into the store to have the issue resolved. When I got the BB Storm I put Visual Voicemail on it, and the woman who did my return didn't take it off even after I explicitly asked her to. So now I am actually happy with phone finally. riddler 0 #20 February 27, 2009 I've had Blackberrys for eight years, and I currently have a BB8830 with Verizon AND an iPhone (AT&T of course), both for over a year. The Blackberry beats the iPhone in nearly every respect. I haven't had any problems with voicemail, but I've not used Sprint service. I'm thinking of Sprint next time because Verizon disables the GPS and WiFi in the BB (to sell you their own competing services). Does the Sprint 8830WE have WiFi? I thought it did, but I can't find it in their specs.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD
