jtval 0 #1 April 3, 2009 What is your fave Iphone App and what do you use it for? I am a 2 day old iPhone owner and I love it so far. iMapmyrun is my favorite app right now. It works with Mapmyrun.com and it tracks your run so you dont have to go trace your steps when you add your work out. Its pretty damned accurate, too. I ran around a hey bail to see if it would show up and it did. The hey bail was about 4 feet wide. So, Gimme some of your fav App's I already have a few cool ones. Pandora-radio shazam- tells you what song is playing showtimes- movie times around me- what's around you The Weather channel- and a few games. My photos My Videos

murrays 0 #3 April 3, 2009 I have rediscovered Scrabble in the last few weeks. I think the iPhone version is well done...sure eats up the battery though! I also use the Facebook app a lot-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

jtval 0 #5 April 3, 2009 Quote Some of us dont have them so I have no idea what they are. I was dragged into 2003 a few days ago when my old phone threatened to give up the ghost. It was 5 years old and pathetic. I travel alot now and often we don't have inet access. I figured the Iphone would fix that. I love it. I can listen to music WHILE I track my run. And it gives me the average speed as a bonus. I used to have to carry my GPS (if I wanted average speed)and Ipod(if I didnt wanna enjoy the silence). I would sometimes carry my phone if I was running a newer route just in case I needed it. It was like going back packing. Its a good thing my dog is on a voice leash. I can just fold it up and put it in my pocket. I USED to have to leash him, too, while we ran. Leash, head phone/ipod, gsp, and phone JUST to run. Water was a whole other thing to carry. I LOVE THE iPHONE. it elimiates most of the bulk in my run.My photos My Videos
skydemon2 0 #6 April 3, 2009 I know plenty of people that have them and thats all I fricking hear about, iphone this and iphone that. I dont want one and I certianly wouldnt go to att to have one. Their coverage sucks around here. I have a cell phone but wish I could lose it, I have no desire to be that reachable. But I will say from what Ive seen they are pretty cool, just not for me. regulator 0 #12 April 3, 2009 I've got the 32GB iPod touch and I like the memory stick application. It uses your existing wireless network to download anything to your iPod touch/iPhone just type in the addess into the web browers with the port number and you can 'upload' anything to your ipod or iphone. Icon134 0 #13 April 3, 2009 I've got a 32GB Touch as well... I've got a few that I like... Air Mouse - it works as a touchpad (or with the acceleromter which I found awkward) over wifi for your computer... I use it with an HTPC computer in my bedroom connected to an HDTV as an alternative to a computer. PhoneFlix - allows me to access and add movies to my Netflix Que... (I just wish I could watch my instant que... ) Facebook/MySpace - if you do that sort of thing... instant access all the time... Urban Spoon - find places to eat nearby... Google Earth In the "Games" arena: Enigmo - I've got to agree that it is addicting... Tangram Pro - if you like that sort of thing. iShoot - if your old enough you remember Scorched Earth for the PC... little tanks that fired bombs at each other... well that's what this is... Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife...
jverley 0 #14 April 3, 2009 I like Face Book, Shazam, and a Geocaching app, I have. My wife tells me there is an app that lets a woman track her menstrual cycles so they can show their doctor if there are any abnormalities. I think its called iMaBitch. murrays 0 #15 April 3, 2009 Another app that I like is "Remote". It allows you to control iTunes on your computer from your Touch/iPhone. It's great to be able to change songs, etc, etc without having to be in the same room. I love using it to change songs when my kids are listening to music while they surf the net. They don't know about this app so they tell me there is something wrong with iTunes because tunes are just changing randomly. I promise them I'll look into it.. haha.-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
