I often jump and fly (PG) with my McDavid supports - they're great.. give freedome and support at the same time (I have weak ankles but the increase my confidence for landing, a lot)...... I do use a soft brace on my ankle - I have been jumping large student canopies since my return (so far, 2 jumps on a 240 and 1 jump on a 220) so my landings are as safe as they can be - I'm just anxious under the canopy in general - every single tiny bump scares me - not a good thing; if I can't relax I'm more likely to do something stupid.
