Fuck Cancer

Recommended Posts

I feel for you. It's been 18 years since my brother Mike died of metastisized testicular cancer. The lesson from his death is DON'T DELAY seeing a doctor if you think you see something is going wrong. My brother got paranoid about losing a nut (you do have to lose the bad one - or both - but testicular almost always happens in just one). By the time he finally couldn't put it off anymore, the doctor's first words were, "Holy shit Mike ! How long have you had this ?".

Fuck cancer ! I fuckin' hate it !!

Amen. I'm flying to Cali tomorrow night to help my Mom whose going for her 2nd chemo treatment Friday. Cancer Sucks. And i have the shirt to prove it.
Fortunately, I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug, uh, regimen to keep my mind, you know, uh, limber.

I'm with you all...my moms best friend, one of the most wonderful people in the world, almost died from colon cancer. Cancer free after treatment! Then a year ago they found cancer in her lung, did surgery, and gave her two years to live[:/] then here comes brain cancer to add severe insult to otherwise horrible injury...had brain surgery about a month ago. Why?? [:/]

I'm sorry about your friend.

I was diagnosed in 2007 with Multiple Myeloma. I went through 2 stem cell transplants with all the associated chemo and radiation.
My Mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer one year ago tomorrow. She died 2 weeks later.
My Uncle fought Lymphoma all last year and he died 10 days after my Mom.
My Grandfather died of leukemia.
My nephew had bone cancer.

It affects everyone, whether directly or indirectly.

Yeah......Fuck cancer.

Cancer sucks. I lost two relative this year to cancer. I'm running the Nike Women's half marathon on Sunday in their honor. It benefits the leukemia & Lymphoma society.

Is it that time again already? My sister did that one last year, and did another half in Orlando this year for Team in Training. I've lost two grandfathers and an uncle to different forms of cancer. Luckily though, my aunt kicked breast cancer's ASS and is doing very well. She's retired now and wants to make a skydive. She rocks!

I had that exact thought a couple of hours ago after leaving the office of an ENT specialist. I have to have a tonsil removed 'cause a biopy won't tell the tale. The Dr. was kind enough to only use the words "possibly cancer" once. Between that and a very low white blood cell count, i'm a bit concerned.

Sorry about your friend. Fuck Cancer!

Yep, fuck cancer. So far this year:

- Dad died in June from liver cancer
- Mom's in the hospital now with complications from lung cancer - untreatable due to her frail condition from emphysema/COPD
- Sister-in-law going through chemo for breast and liver cancer
- Good friend in about round 7 of chemo for lymphoma.

Yeah, I've pretty much had enough of cancer. [:/] Y'all be strong, your friends and family need all the help they can get!

I lost my mom to liver cancer 5 years ago. She was given 3 months to live but made it 2 and a half years. Seeing her slowly lose the battle has had a permanent effect on me.

A week ago a close friend found out she had liver cancer as well, before I had the chance to talk to her and offer support she killed herself the same night she found out. Due to attending previous wakes of friends who committed suicide and seeing how such affects the family, I chose not to attend the memorial. I am still battling internal demons on whether I made the right decision.

I'm not looking for sympathy, nor gratitude when I am committing to donate 10% of every paycheck for the rest of my life to a reputable foundation for the research and hopeful eradication of cancer. The donations won't be very much...but it will help bring me some sense of peace. Hopefully.

my sponsor died of brain-cancer, right before his 30th birthday, after winning the battle the first time over, second attempt, it was inoperable.. :(

should of seen him the first time in hospital, my mom madea cake for him, and altough he was paralyzed on one side, he still managed to eat it with that arm. keep fighting!

a lot of my peeps suffered / died from cancer; if you believe the doctors, that's much likely i'll end up that way too. but since i'm abusing my body that bad.. and still look pretty young; well, we'll see. i might be in for a surprise..
