Jealous...only 28 years to go to catch up to you

DON'T drink to excess-do hard drugs-fall for cheap scantily clad women- NEVER get married.

TRY NOT to break many bones, stay out late, listen to LOUD rock and roll music- chase cheap scantily clad women, or get shot/blew up

I.e., just don't do what I did, you'll be fine at 57

No immediate plans yet John. Take my time and get my visa's in order. The only work I'll probably do is volounteer work like mowing old peoples grass.
Going to get some time in Central America, Amsterdam, Germany, Switzerland, austrailia. And might try and sneak into Ukraine and visit some military buddies.

Gonna be tough having to choose wardrobe in the mornings! ;)

There are some days I wish I could wear my ACU's to work. They're just comfortable! :D

Congrats and welcome aboard.

28+ years in the military and when I retired I found out that civilians:

1. Can't all get up at the same time.
2. Can't all wear the same clothes.
3. Can't all eat the same food.

No wonder we had to defend them.

Also, if you get a job in the civilian market place, there will be one woman who works there who thinks Halloween is just the greatest of holidays. Avoid her. If she has cats, avoid her even more.
Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

I already know what you all mean about wardrobe. I have to clean out my whole closet. I will never need those clothes again. I looked at it last night, and went, WOW.

Got the long hair thing out of my system with the last two tours in AFG. Grow hair, grow beard. Big whoopee. going to keep the short hair, and learn to walk in flip flops again.

You've been in the mil environment too long.

I worked with an electrical engineer who had been a GI in the USAF; as I had been. Every day, for 30 yrs he came to work in a blue oxford shirt with a button-down collar and navy blue cotton pants. It NEVER varied.

No, he was not married. :P
