Something really interesting is the augmented reality tech he used to practice:

Also, Outside magazine article about the planning: http://www.outsideonline.com/outdoor-adventure/aerial-sports/Jeb-Corliss-on-The-Flying-Dagger.html

FLARE!!!

Sucks he lost 2 GoPro's on opening.

Pretty sure it was *3* GoPro's on the unicorn mount:
- One facing forward.
- One facing rearward.
- One facing down past his face.

Wow, the head-mounted camera was rock steady, even to the point that it was hard to pinpoint the moment he exited the copter. Rock solid all the way through the dagger.

His hand-held showed what he was doing up-down-right-left.

Target fixation in a good way.

Amazing!

If it had been me, I would have said "the hell with the crack on the left, there is a perfectly good crack on the right".:P

Wow...

quite the small space
through which One must FLY!!! Surely I would have chosen the open space to the right !! basic survival INSTINCT Draws one, to the right.....

So, Big Kudos to this MAN...:o:)so impressive :o

only ,,,Will there EVER be a Time... when "enough is enough"...????

sorry :|,,, i simply do NOT understand "envelope pushing " ..... to THIS extent.....waaay too close for comfort.. IMHO

So IF he ( and others ) MUST do this... may they have Guardian Angels on their shoulders, at ALL times..... and May they always find a SAFE Landing...

Obviously, extreme proximity is Jeb's crack. ;)

But if he ever tries anything narrower than that, they will need to first coat the sides of the crack with KY jelly.:|
