feeling?

Recommended Posts

You don't feel anything in your stomach. It's very peaceful & it's like you're floating. I mean you can tell you're falling but you don't feel it at all. Go Jump!:P

You don't have a sense of falling during freefall. You know you are though, because of the speed and wind and it's very noisy. The ground is too far away to notice the ground coming up. It is simply amazing to 'fly'! As Cora said, it's more "I can't believe I just jumped out of an airplane"! Just enjoy it!!!!!!!

Trying to describe freefall to a person who has never done it is about the same as trying to describe the color "blue" to a blind person.

About the only way to really understand it -- is to do it.

What's it like - on your early jumps you have the feeling of falling in your stomach - but I reckon that is probably more shear fear than anything else. I recently went on a roller coaster for the first time since I started freefall. It's nothing like FF. When your stable in FF - it feels very peacful. At the time it seems noisy and windy - but when I recall any dive my mind shuts that out. The only time I have actually known I'm goign downwards is when i've passed the odd cloud.

As everyone will say GO JUMP and ENJOY IT

about the feeling i can say only one thing: "I know why birds sing"
it's an old and used phrase, but that's the answer.

And you have feeling of falling only at baloon jumps or at base for first seconds. it is awesome. everyone should give it a try :)

"George just lucky i guess!"

First thing you'll notice is the increadible noise of the wind screaming in your ears. The closest thing I can find to simulate this is by driving 120 mph on the highway with both your windows down. (don't blame me when you get a ticket this way :P)

The feeling is kind of like flying. The first jumps you prolly experience less of that; but when once you start practicing turns, going forward & backward and tracking you'll feel more like that

Then there is a whole lot of other things you can't really explain unless you really try it !!

It changes you for sure. You risk your life every time again: IT HAS to change you. For me it gives more meaning to my life and makes me more aware of things in life...

but I reckon' there are as many experiences as jumpers out there ;)

I remember my "FIRST" (did I say that) jump!!!

I didn't get the feeling of falling like the non jumpers expect. What I do remember, and don't feel anymore is EXTREA accelaration. It felt like GOd put his hand on my back and was pushing me down... That last about 4-5 seconds probably till the drouge came out, but then it was just like flying.

It is cool and crisp up there, and at 14K feet there is a destinct clean smell to the air. Very noisy too!!!

Just Shut Up and Jump!!!!

forgot to tell about the smell... is that really just the smell of clean air ? or does it smell like that because you're breathing it @125mph ? :P
