  1. Chuck, I'm sure the little media darlings thought that was just horrible. He probably should be glad he wasn't publishing that down here. There is a good chance someone would have kicked his ass. Which he would have richly deserved. Glad I live south of the Red River. Fred
  2. Along with the help of people like you, that think it was a wonderful idea to publish the names and addresses of gunowners. That is why responsible gun owners keep their guns locked in a safe, other than the one you keep out for defense. It keeps criminals from getting their hands on them when you aren't home.
  3. So that was why you thought it was a good idea to publish the names and addresses of firearms owners? So criminals would know where to steal firearms? Smart.
  4. Yes, it's called in a holster, on your hip, under your jacket. Not in the desk drawer, a purse or a locker. If you have a situation where it is needed, you don't have time to wander off to get it.
  5. I believe you stopped short on handing out credit for weakening the laws keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill. You forgot the ACLU, the feds(HIPA) and whiney little leftist liberals (like you) that are more concerned with the rights of crazy people than their victims. I doubt you will find many gun rights groups that are interested in seeing nut jobs have firearms. It is against their best interest. Every time someone commits one of these horrible crimes, gun owners have to contend with jackals like Schumer and Feinstein, who would cheerfully kick the victims corpses out of the way to get in front of a camera to further their agenda. Gun owners are the ones that will have to suffer the effects of any new law, not the criminals or crazies. So why would anyone in their right mind think that gun owners would want crazy people to have guns?
  6. Hi Chris. Grandfathering in already owned weapons has usually been the case, as in California and the '94 AWB. However, I saw an article the other day on one of the news websites where Dianne Feintstein was stating that in the bill she plans on presenting, there will be no grandfathering. She said she wants to close that loophole and get all of them off of the street. I don't think the rest of Congress will go along with that, which would be wise. That is probably one thing that would cause the streets to run with blood. People might put up with no new sales, but most won't give up what they have without a fight. The article was on one of the major news websites, but I can't remember which one it was. Sorry, or I would send a link to the site.
  7. I'm not really worried about him trying to ban or confiscate guns. Being the snake he is, he would be more inclined to tighten import restrictions on guns, ammo, etc. Then work on raising the costs of guns and related items domestically through fees and taxes. And there is always the possibility of having ATF adding more restrictions on who can have an FFL, or make the license fee higher. The fewer FFL dealers, the less competition, usually the higher the cost to the customer. With a combination of tactics, you can make it much more costly for the gun owners. To the point that you make shooting too expensive for the majority of the population. I would hate to think that I had to limit myself to a hundred rounds or less out of my .45 or FAL when I wanted to go shooting. But if the price for ammo got too much, I guess I would. Glad I bought that 22 conversion kit for my Combat Commander now. He might make our life uncomfortable, but he won't beat us.
  8. Great video. And that stuff is fun to play with, if you can afford to feed it. I hope the Carp didn't watch that. They won't be able to get him out from under his bed for a week, or be able to sleep for a month, if he doesn't have a heart attack first.
  9. I think the only way the SC would overturn an executive order, would be if someone took it to court as unconstitutional, and wound up in front of them. The only other way is for Congress, with I think a 75%(and I could be wrong on the percentage), vote to veto it. I'm sure Lawrocket or Andy could clear this up. People forget that Bush, Sr. used an executive order to stab us in the back the first time on so-called "assault rifles" in 1989. That order is still on the books. So much for our Republican 'friends' watching out for our rights. Not that George was a big buddy of gunowners to start with. He was big supporter of the '68 GCA and only joined the NRA a few years before running for president. He only joined to appeal to that segment of the voters, so it wasn't any big deal when he cancelled his NRA lifetime membership after the NRA called the ATF a bunch of jackbooted thugs. Another example of why you have to watch both sides of the aisle, no matter what they say. In the end, they are all self serving snakes, meaning politicians. And I trust Obama less than any politician that I have seen in my 62 years. After all, he is a product of Chicago politics, the most corrupt in the nation. Little Barry will take some watching this time around, since he can't run again and has nothing to lose.
  10. You're right. Votes to keep their cushy little jobs are what keep the creatures in Congress paying attention to us. They still remember what happened to their buddies in '94. Contrary to the fears I hear at the gun shows, I'm not really too concerned about any sweeping new laws. Not that I don't pay attention to what they are doing, you have to keep an eye on them. I don't see that there is anywhere near enough support there to pass any big gun bills. That doesn't mean Obama won't try and pull a fast one with an executive order or new directives to ATF or other agencies as a way to get around Congress, but not much you can do about that. And being the underhanded snake he is, that is a distinct possibility. We'll just have to see what happens.
  11. Hi Chuck! Isn't it great that we live in a state that the lawmakers still use common sense, most of the time. I think in the very unlikely event that the anti-gun nuts have their dream come true, people like the Carp should have to go with the confiscation teams to pick up all the guns. And they should be at the head of the team. The first one through the door. After all, if they feel that strongly about taking everyone's guns, they should be proud to put their ass on the line for their beliefs. Seems fair to me. I might have a little respect for them if they did that, but we know that wouldn't happen. A big shortage of balls in that crowd. It's good to be a Texan! Texas first and bring back the Republic!
  12. Squeak, I think you called this one wrong. The original Arabic word, kaffir, had nothing to do with race. I think DelTron was alluding to it's original intent, which is why he mentioned atheists, drinking and drugs. Which are all supposed to be against Muslim practice. It meant non-believer. Anyone that was not a Muslim. It was later commandeered by African whites as a derogatory term for blacks. However, DelTron could have been using it as a racial slur, I just didn't read it that way.
  13. As long as you are armed, why would you fear the government TRYING to take your guns?
  14. Bush was moron, Obama is moron, and if Romney had been elected, we would still have a moron for president. At least we are consistent.
  15. I see you guys are still feeding the little troll. Have you ever heard of the 'asshole vacumn theory'? It was something that a bunch of us bartenders in a small college town came up with many moons ago. Whenever one of our customers that happened to be an asshole quit coming in, another asshole would start coming in and take his place. It was like magic. The asshole that left would always be replaced with an asshole of equal, or greater asshole value. I guess it kept the balance in the bar cosmos. I think the same thing is happening here. We lose Shah, and he is magically replaced by the Carp. At least with Shah he could be good for a laugh once in a while. Not happening here. You have now all witnessed the asshole vacumn theory at work. One of the great mysteries of the universe.
  16. Now, now. You shouldn't be so hard on Prof. Kallend. After listening to him whine about all those millionaies not paying their fair share, to show how open minded he is, I am sure he is going to run down and volunteer a chunk of his money to help out all those people that have less than him. (I could use a new h/c, when you start handing out your money). After all, according to one of his own posts, he is worth over a million dollars. I know that being one of the party faithful, he will want to help the party/state in their redistribution of the wealth. We need to make sure ALL of the millionaires pay their fair share. Anyone else that needs new gear, let him know, there should still be plenty left over to buy free cell phones for the other disadvantaged. Thanks in advance for my new h/c, Prof. Kallend. PM me and I'll give you the details and where to ship it.
  17. I see everyone is still feeding out little troll. As far as the new German law, if I remember my history, the last time they registered, and later confiscated firearms, that didn't work out too well. Not for the Germans or the world. Amazing how people never learn.
  18. I guess this is her way of showing the people there that died so she could have her "freedom of expression" how much she appreciates their sacrifice for her. She is nothing more than common gutter trash.
  19. Amazing, even after you warned us, they're still feeding the little troll. Oh well, it will give him and his little friends something to giggle about on the playground tomorrow.
  20. You were correct, and his usual silliness will be ignored from now on.
  21. You are probably correct, and at this very moment he is probably sitting on the playground with his phone, giggling that he got a response from an adult. My fault.
  22. Well, Comrade Carp, perhaps you would be happier living in a country where people think more along your lines. Such as N. Korea or Cuba. After seeing many of your posts, I haven't decided whether you are a troll, a little 'cocktail socialist', or just someone that spent too many of your formative years within the range of the lethal rays of the brainwashing device known as television. I am going to hazard a guess and think that you are a product of the last thirty years of public education, which means you didn't get a real education. It might benefit you to go back and read what the founding fathers intent was as far as the second amendment. Clue: it had nothing to do with hunting. I have been around, and worked the gun shows since the seventies, and there is not a vast, right wing conspiracy among all of the American gun owners to overthrow the government. You sound like the nuts that think everything Obama does is a conspiracy. Just the opposite side of the coin. And by the way, Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, and all the others like them would have loved your train of thought. As the late Aaron Zelman would have put it, "you have a gas chamber mentality."
  23. I always wonder how many of these clowns go to their evil, capitlaist Dads for some money, before the demonstration, so they can have coffee at Starbucks after the riot against capitalism. What a bunch of dipshits.
  24. Even with the 'remember' box checked, I still have to sign in every time. It just started this. Never had a problem with it until the last week or so.
