When I was younger I was a little hot headed and tended to get jealous a lot. I think I grew out of it though. I realized how useless the emotion was and how much trouble it caused. Now I just go with the flow and don't let things bother me, if anything the things I used to flip out about now amuse me. And I honestly think skydiving helped me with this. like i was sayin though, even without that knowledge just doesn't seem like a good idea. i mean unless you're actually facing a death camp or something it just doesn't seem to fit. and from some of the stories in the article it doesn't sound like they are facing death, just poor quality of life. plenty of people hop on rafts or walk across borders, still dangerous of course but it just seems a tad safer from a common sense perspective. I did three tandems to kick off AFF but I figured I'd chime in anyway. Occassionally one of my buddies will be going for his/her tandem rating and I'll offer to ride along when they need an experienced skydiver for their training. THANKFULLY I've never actually been around when they are doing that jump though because I might pee myself!
