2 different cameras over 5+ years and I've only had to clean the newer one (2+yrs) once when I had the "digitized lines" showing up. But I also always use a dbox and new Sony tapes. Huh?!? What cloud?!? Oh that!!! That's just Industrial Haze Alex M.

You can put a dbox wherever you want, you could mount it to your chin cup if you wanted... Just because the holes are predrilled in the side, don't let that hold you back from drilling more holes in the bottom and switching it to a topmount box. (I did that with mine) For sidemount, I prefer just an L-bracket (boxes are too bulky). For more security, on top with a d-box is better. I agree the box is mounted too high also. You may have to do some drilling or dremel work, but it's worth it to bring that box down where others have recommended. think outside the box. and btw, we all have extra holes in our helmets, it's called trial and error, and switching from one camera to another or adding a flash or something else... don't be afraid to drill holes in the pretty new helmet. Well I'm finally done, and pretty happy with how it turned out. #1 shows the twin stroboframes #2 shows the sharkfin with double plates for easy switch between horizontal and vertical. #3 shows the vertical format which will be my default setup due to the least amount of hangover on the sides #4 shows the horizontal format which will only be used when needed due to the hangover/snag factor. But in all actuality, if ya hold a straight edge to it, it doesn't hang out over the side of the helmet but a couple inches. A whole lot less then a side mounted video would. These are so strange to read.....because in my own experience I've found their customer service to be lacking. I'm glad to hear that I'm of a minority. I've e-mailed them twice (several months apart) about problems I'm having with my Jump-Track software, and have gotten no response. I guess I'll try again one last time before I just sell it. It's useless if you can't read the tiny fonts that I can't seem to upsize. Don't get me wrong tho....I'm not dissing the company...I'm a faithful user of their hardware (Pro-Dyyter in one ear and Pro-Track in the other) and love it. Huh?!? What cloud?!? Oh that!!! On the side of the grip, just under the shutter release button, you should see a little plastic plug that you can remove to plug in a remote shutter release. Huh?!? What cloud?!? Oh that!!! That's just Industrial Haze Alex M.

Stick to fixed focal length....get a 28mm being your first...you'll be happy....stay away from zoom lenses for weight and length issues. Huh?!? What cloud?!? Oh that!!! That's just Industrial Haze Alex M.
