the cables used to transport people, animals and supplies to the farms on the other side of the river that runs there. We have to jump it in winter as we need to land on the frozen river. It was a great weekend with some great jumps. Very different from other jumps i have made. Can't wait to go back there! Ok, so i have been jumping a few years now, but i still missed the S (yes, another norwegian). This weekend we went and visited VKB county for some winter fun. They have a cable span up there wich i had two great jumps from. It works like this: Get some rope and some carbiners(?), hook yourself in and slide out to the middle (fast, sparks flying, great fun). when you get to the middle, you unhook yourself and hang off your arms or legs and simply let go. Its approx 300m (1000 feet), so a 5 sec delay is all good. My question to you all, would this qualify as an S? most people we talked to over the weekend says it s probably the definition of an S as it is a span in its true word. Those guys just have organized a Heliboogie there. There has not been a helicopter in the areas discussed here. You must be thinking about Kjerag where they have an anual heli boogie I have been in the valleys and i can confirm the long hikes. I earned the nick name "the five-meter" as i had to take a break every 5th meter or so at the end of a 3.5 hrs long hike. I could never make more than one jump a day there as i was exchausted after those hikes. last year some french and german jumpers spent close to 5 hours on the trip, and they were really exchausted after the hike. one of the french was even unhappy with the jump as he said to me "when im this tired i cannot make a good jump". -------------------------------------------------- http://www.oslobase.no

Yes i know him well. I was getting ready at the top as it happened so i didnt see it before i got that camera in my hands. He suffered some pretty heavy injuries, most ribs in several places, 2 or three vertabreas, a collapsed lung, fractured skull.... Think that covers most of it but it could've been more. he also stayed in a coma for a while. He was wearing a helmet and would have been on the list if it wasn't for the hard shell (which split btw), actually he died twice in the ambulance but thankfully the medics brought him back. He is not back jumping yet, but he has been with us on several sites PCAing us and looking forward to jump in the future. Whoa, that was fast! Yes, the release was on friday, but i couldnt post before now cause of a nice little trip to Iceland... The party was great with a lot of people from all over the country, live concerts from Shaun Bartlett, Addicted to Habbits (people from yelp) And a one night only resurrection of YELP after the movie.
