  1. I have 3 relatives working on the rigs in the gulf. 1 on the rig that built the new cap, another on the rig drilling the relief well, and the 3rd doing cleanup. I haven't spoke to any of them in a couple weeks but the cap and relief well were not expected to be completed until sometime in August. This was what he told me 3 weeks ago. Having spent 4 years working in the oilfields myself I can tell you plugging that well permanently at those depths with that much pressure wont be easy. The oil is going to follow the path of least resistance, so 10 relief Wells would not slow it down without that cap to raise the pressure. Also the old well has taken a huge beating and they have to close the valves to see if the oil is coming out anywhere else. Better to find it now then find it months from now and discover the leak was just moved to a new location. With all the oil out there already it would be hard to spot if you didn't know it existed. What's the worst that can happen?
  2. Well they gotta give the viewers something to watch or else its just another midget show. What he is doing is very good. I have 2 pits that stay inside with me. One snuggled up to me on the bed right now snoring. I love the breed. You can't ask for a better companion and natural gaurd dog. I would love to see someone try and break in my house. They would be trying to get out faster then they got in I promise you. I sleep very good at night...LOL. What's the worst that can happen?
  3. I have jumped very little in the past 3 yrs. I got a job alot of jumpers would love to have. I travel constantly all over the eastern half of the country, spending my winter in Florida starting 2 weeks from now. Making the most money I have ever made and got Friday, Saturdays and Sundays off. I'm gonna buy a new rig and get back in the air and can't wait! What's the worst that can happen?
  4. Holy crap! Is that for real? __________________________________________________ What's the worst that can happen?
  5. Thank you. I knew it was something like that but could'nt remember for sure. I took the test and passed a few months ago but was geussing. I got hired and now I am trying to get my brother a job there to. It is CSX by the way. I am a locomotive mechanic now. My brother will be an electrician when hired. I asked the manager and he said he would hire him "IF" he passes the test. $21.44 hr plus all the benefits is pretty good. They even furnish all my tools so now I have $20,000+ worth of my own tools at home not being used. I am planning on starting my own truck road service in my off hours. Anyways THANKS!! __________________________________________________ What's the worst that can happen?
  6. I forgot how to do fractions multiply and divide. My brother has a test coming up for a job and I know these questions are on the test. Anyone remember how to do them? __________________________________________________ What's the worst that can happen?
  7. I am in Philly for the next 2 weeks working and want to find a DZ to jump at this weekend. __________________________________________________ What's the worst that can happen?
  8. Ha ha thats right man. That trip to Texas sucked because of that. . 60 mph thru Dallas was scary. Everyone else was doing 90+ and 60 was as fast as I could go. __________________________________________________ What's the worst that can happen?
  9. 2 weeks notice has been given over 2 weeks ago.... I told them as soon as I found out that I got the job. So I am good there. Time off from work is something that I hav'nt gotten much of in the last 4 years. I work in the oilfeilds right now and turn in a time sheet every week with 70 to 85 hours on it. I get every other weekend off and have to work every day in between. I feel like I deserve to take a 3 week vacation. __________________________________________________ What's the worst that can happen?
  10. Non contract. I will be working night shift in Huntington, WV, which is about 1 hour and 15 minutes from me and the same town as my home dz. At the interview the yardmaster was there and he told us all that no one works Saturdays and Sundays in his shop. It is an overhaul shop so the train engines in there don't have to make a schedule. I have several freinds who are conductors and engineers for CSX also. 1 of them is a good skydiving buddy of mine. __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ What's the worst that can happen?
