  1. 11 < 14 in most systems of arithmetic Dr. Kallend.......Lets knock off the horse play. You were working from a misconception, got hurt feelings, and you were wrong about who splattered your personal G2. Hell, man..!! Wake up.!! I tried to defend/protect your privacy. What's the skydiving wearing a dress comment about you? Seems to most, that you'd be pissed about that.
  2. That's your reply..? QED. The thread is about Superpacs, US politics. Wow, someone can read the thread title Iron meter pegged. YOU brought personal issues into the thread. HAH.......Did not..!! Go back and read the entire conversation. Check on post #11. Someone must have stolen your identity. As a matter of interest, since you immigrated to the US in 1967 or about, have you become a US citizen, yet? If so, would you compare or contrast ( your choice) the US system to the ponderous system in the UK. And, possibly, why you turned your back on the UK. Simple question? Do you know anything about the US voting system? I know the boiler plate basics of the Brit system, but not enough to debate it. As I stated in a later post, that to debate someone unfamiliar with the US system gains me nothing. If you have issues with your personal info being put on this thread, then speak to the other poster. If you read the posts, I went to the point of asking the other poster if he was your representative. Another poster also replied to the post. Are you posting to him, or you don't have an issue with him? So.... Keep paddling Doc....... " Another Kallend misconception."

I thought he was on the side with the best artillery. During the Gulf War, the Iraqi's had Russian 152mm howitzers. Regarded as the very best in the world. "Another Kallend misconception..." You need to learn some military history. Correct the statement, then......... As a professional educator, that's right in your field.
  5. Dr. Kallend....... You are aware of what happens when one assumes? But, enough of the childishness. The posts are self evident. There are "nutters" everywhere, including jurisdictions where draconian gun restrictions have been in place for a very long time. The issue, is people. Not guns. I could have also posted two more articles from Munich about a man beating another to death over a McDonald's burger. The other about a man man who stabbed two little girls to death in their bedrooms. Their uncle, in fact. If someone has it in their soul to kill, then they will kill. That's the point you miss, way too often.
  6. The 32-year-old Norwegian man arrested for gunning down children on a holiday island and detonating a car bomb in Oslo has been named locally as Anders Behring Breivik. Described as 6ft tall and blond, he is reported to have arrived on the island of Utoyadressed as a policeman and opened fire after beckoning several young people over in his native Norwegian tongue. Reports suggest he was also seen loitering around the site of the bomb blast in Oslo two hours before the island incident. Authorities now claim 91 people were killed - in Oslo and on Utoya Island, 50 miles north of the capital, it was claimed. Norwegian police said at least 84 were killed at Utoya alone and described the killings as of 'catastrophic dimensions' and 'the work of a madman'. 7. Cumbria shootings: gunman Derrick Bird kills 12 then shoots himself. A gunman killed at least 12 people in a shooting spree in Cumbria and injured another 25 before taking his own life. UK Telegraph. 2010. Derrick Bird used a .22 rimfire and a shotgun.

Professional sports is nuts. In 1986 I attended game #1 and game #2 of the Stanley Cup finals and paid $10 for my tickets for each game (granted they were not the best seats). In our modern world you are paying a minimum of $200 for the same "crappy seats" to the finals. Did you by any chance read about the contract the California Angels offered Albert Pujols? It took weeks for lawyers to work-out before Pujols would agree to it. Chuck Sir...... I have a friend that handles Chicago Bears players, Atlanta Falcon players and Miami Dolphin players. If you should wish to hear some real life true stories about the sleaze factor by NFL owners when it comes to performing what is agreed to in player contracts, please PM me.
  9. Not to comment on the conversation, but I will let you know that no one in SC (or Bonfire) has ever gotten in trouble with the mods for being off-topic. I find that the best technique for keeping the thread on-topic (whatever topic I find to be the most entertaining or informative) is to contribute to it. If that doesn't work, well, there are plenty of other threads. Wendy P. Thank you, Wendy.... I mentioned off topic and "so on". It seemed to me as if the other poster was getting very upset. I was trying to get back on a less emotional footing. Why the other poster kept on about another DZ member is a surprise to me. You are very correct. There are lots of other threads. BTW........... normis posted that Dr. K. wears a dress while skydiving? Would you know anything about that?
  10. Now you're just insulting everyone's intelligence. The whole post.... Not so........ It is topical to know if the Dr. has any knowledge of what he's talking about, is it not? What do I gain by beating up on a helpless debater? Again, why are you persisting in this effort to speak for the Dr.? From what I have read of your prior posts, this discussion is not like you to be so emotional. I may have to follow the advice of others who are now engaged in posting on this thread as we e-speak, to ignore you before you get yourself in trouble with the Mods for being off topic and so on. Chin up, counselor.
  11. I too am uncomfortable with that aspect. It tends to lend corruption, vote buying and influence peddling a cleaner, more palatable image.

  13. That's your reply..? QED. The thread is about Superpacs, US politics. No Mod has written to me about any rules infraction. If you have issues with Mods, and how they run this site, that is your deal. PM a Mod. Getting up on your hind legs barking at me is unproductive. As to Dr. Kallend paying taxes, OK. He lives in the US. Why not? As far as educating... Is he compensated for that service? What his family does, or does not do is about as off topic as one can get. Since you don't rep. Dr. Kallend, be a big boy and let the Dr. speak for himself. C-ya.........
  14. Divulging such details of another is, in your words, not a good idea. Remember your own posts about personal info posted on websites? And that's your reply? QED. Oh, by the way, I didn't "divulge" it; he's proudly discussed it on here. Then you represent Dr. Kallend? If not, then your issue is with me. Why not PM and we can use four letter words and all the fun stuff that accompanies.

  17. So you are a felon or mentally ill, then? Or both. Second request: In addition to being a Prof of Material Eng., are you also a Diagnostician, Psychologist, or a Psychiatrist? This is, yet again, another thread where you diagnose posters and then scamper off. Be careful, bro... In the world of Warnings and Bannings, some Posters are more equal than others... You are not a favored soul-things that would get you warned/banned wouldn't for others... WHAATTT?? WHAAAAAATTTT..? I'VE MANAGED TO GET UNDER SOMEONES FINGERNAILS?? Thanks...What a great thing to post.

  21. What's the downside? Well, for one, the billions of US taxpayer aid dollars spent rebuilding the pan-euro infra structure that could be damaged.
  22. "Interesting" No, not really. Having been to England, Scotland, Ireland, and on the continent a few times, the nationalist fervor in the overall populations are far more strident than in the past, to this non-interested objective observer. Xenophobes are usually not too far removed from racists. If the trend continues to spiral, Euro's might start mass killing each other again.
