  1. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/gear/review.cgi?ID=469 ...you decide....
  2. Good thinking. I hope you secure your PC when you're on the bike.
  3. What is this all about? If you're ''peetejones'' type, someone or few will put you in your place, some nicer than others. It had happened to me to when i first got here. If you are humble and willing to learn you will find large majority of jumpers are nice willing to help. It's as simple as that
  4. Where do you live again...wanna go paragliding
  5. That's ZPX right? Check out the attached pic to see what the colors look like for real. I saved it a while ago from one of the threads about ZPX.
  6. A lot of things of today were ''impossible'' at one point and people were once sure that the earth was flat! Keep pushing the envelope
  7. Really? Damn that sucks. i find solos boring as well. Too bad for you guys. 30 out of my 37 were solos and i loved each and every one of them. So many things to try....hand cam for instance Disclaimer: I do not advise anyone to do it!
  8. Yep, i was being funny. Even though possible in theory i don't really see it happen...just yet. Maybe one day someone crazy enough will be on an epizode of storm chasers @Giselle - I'm a fairly experienced PG pilot and just a beginner skydiver....for now To the OP- Some of us just enjoy flying in any form. I wanna do it all.
  9. You can do ridge soaring now, just find a place with a good hill and a 100 mph wind, not sure about flying thermals though.
  10. That was a lot of fun to watch. You really mixed pretty much everything into those few minutes. I liked the song too. Very nice
  11. Maybe you guys will find this interesting. All in one kinda deal, HD cam with integrated GPS. You can even overlay GPS info such as speed, altitude, position on your video so you can see real time info. Check it out. http://www.gobandit.com/Product.aspx
  12. I wanted to skydive since I was a kid but when i was growing up there was virtualy no skydiving in my country. I started paragliding in 2000 and first time I went out of my country in 2001 i started skydiving. Today i love both and i have both sets of gear so when I'm not working I'm either on a DZ or on some of the local hills.
  13. Are you kidding? I think everybody has seen it first day it was out. I loved the tunnel action best but everything was really, really cool. Awesome work!
  14. I got the same one. Also bought it for snowboarding and used it for paragliding few times because i didn't have appropriate helmet. Not sure about the skydiving because it doesn't fit very snugly on my head and it would be moving around probably...maybe it's just my head. I don't know how it goes with it not being certified for air sports.
  15. - try to get 200+ jumps out of some 40 days i might have for jumping next year - get my B - at least two hours of tunnel time - get decent on my belly - WS FFC also, check few things on my skydiving bucket list like: balloon/helicopter/skyvan jumps. BASE FJC will most likely have to wait for 2012.
  16. +2, super awesome customer service! There really seems to be nothing you could ask that they won't do for you. Love chutingstar
  17. Same here. If I want to enjoy canopy ride I go paragliding 4000 is too high, 2000 is too low...for me. I like to pull as I go past 3000 mark.
  18. I shall do that Sir. To bad I don't get to stay longer and you guys don't jump that much in winter or I would deffinitely stop by the Farm since my rig is already there
  19. You can say that again I got my license in April in Mesquite, than i had spent 4 months in Iraq, than 8 jumps in august followed by 5 months in Iraq. Don't have to tell you that time doesn't fly at all for me In little over a month i'll be in Mesquite and Eloy though and I cant wait. BTW, I met the OP in Mesquite, cool guy
  20. QuoteThanks for the link, she's an impressive lady! +1
  21. Anybody can get it. I live in Europe and i got my licence in the States. Blue skies
  22. Hmmm, maybe i should reconsider where i go for my skydiving vacations...or just go to the States regardles but stay close to one of those warehouses
