I was finishing up my level 6 jump and a level 1 came in, it was so interesting the changes that you make mentally from just 1-6. the kid was nervous and kinda jumpy. just remember to relax and have shittons of fun. Oh no, it was actually quite beautiful. 77 degrees today, unfortunately, the winds were too high and they were only allowing for hop and pops at the DZ. :-( next week looks beautiful yet again, hopefully the winds will keep it calm enough to actually jump. try 3! Yay! Yea, Nick said he'd kick my arse if I did any type of movements a low altitude because of the risk of an unwanted swoop and being flung into the ground. He also said that if (on the off chance) I happen to land in a tree, I should cut away and just walk away from the DZ and not even look back. My sister is a skydiver and she says the same thing, once you've flared between 10 feet and the ground you should more or less just try to touch your feet and stay there. Soooo, I'll be out there on Sunday to do a few jumps. hopefully the weather will cooperate. definitely DeLand is my fave. I actually live in Titusville, but like someone else already said, it's a tandem place. I go to DeLand all the time. Even prior to starting to jump. the tunnel is great to start working on honing some skills. did you go through AFF prior to being in the tunnel? I can recommend some awesome coaches for you there. My sister worked there for a few months, but then something crazy happened and the owner went on a crazy firing spree. it was insane. you know you can book blocks of time for skydivers and pay for coaching if you want to work on like back flying or sit flying or head down. whatever it may be. Yea, I saw that too... I've definitely been keeping up with the weather. since it IS kind of important that the weather cooperates. I'm supposed to be doing the fundraising Polar Plunge at Aquatica on Saturday, and I'm not sure that'll happen either. oh well, eventually I'll start my AFF....
