  1. All of these things sound pretty much the same as CAA Part 115 that all commercial skydiving in New Zealand has operated under for the past 5 years or so, all in response to 9 fatalities in a jump plane following engine failure shortly after takeoff. As there was no available manifest/operational software available to perform slot specific w&b for each load, I developed the operational software for my mates drop zones to manage all of these requirements regarding w&b, recurrency, CAA reporting and much more. Since doing that 4 years ago, I certainly look differently at short body Caravans and PAC750s trying to board 16 jumpers and a pilot. It's a very rare load that I can keep 17 bodies on those aircraft within COG limits.
  2. I do it pretty much every week of the year through either Auckland, Christchurch, or Wellington. Always as carry-on in a backpack, and never had a problem in the past 10 years

  4. Absolutely, but I'm not sure 30deg is enough. I'm tending to go with Wicked's 90deg now Ian Purvis http://www.loadupsoftware.com LoadUp DZ Management App [email protected]
  5. A quick safety vid we made last month for end of day viewing to highlight some of the day's dodgy ws flights. The first clip is as close as I ever want to come to being hit. Guy trying to exit on his back hasn't seen me yet. http://vimeo.com/170911192 Ian Purvis http://www.loadupsoftware.com LoadUp DZ Management App [email protected]

  8. Long delay in posting due to having so much fun on this suit After reading this post months ago I contacted Walt who graciously agreed to send a demo Swurve all the way to little old New Zealand. After putting 10 flights on it I ordered one on 22nd April. The next day Walt was back in touch checking some minor details. He communicated every step of the process. Suit was cut on April 28th, and shipped on May 6th. Redline's service was great and the final fit and quality are outstanding. Can't thank them enough. If you get the chance definitely take the Swurve for a spin, it's an awesome suit. Ian Purvis http://www.loadupsoftware.com LoadUp DZ Management App [email protected]
  9. If it were in my home, they'd be asked to go outside, just like any other smoker. (I know my building has a general no-smoking rule and I don't know if it also applies to e-cigs. But I personally have a zero tolerance policy!). I quit cigarettes almost 3 years ago and switched to vaping. I always take it outside, even when the host says "don't worry about it". Just good manners in my book. Ian Purvis http://www.loadupsoftware.com LoadUp DZ Management App [email protected]
  10. Awesome, much appreciated Ian Purvis http://www.loadupsoftware.com LoadUp DZ Management App [email protected]
  11. Almost fixed Michael The time zone offset craps out if you go more than +9 hours from UTC. Currently in New Zealand we're +13 hours. +8 and +9 work fine but +10,11,12,13 don't. Not a big deal. At least the folders have the correct date now as long as I don't jump before 4.00am. Cheers for the support Ian Purvis http://www.loadupsoftware.com LoadUp DZ Management App [email protected]
  12. Only 1 day of jumping it so far but I like it. Jumped 5 loads using 1080@120fps so I could play with some slomo and I'm impressed. https://vimeo.com/channels/blsd/111969513 Ian Purvis http://www.loadupsoftware.com LoadUp DZ Management App [email protected]
