  1. Well, that may be correct, so the definition of "shop" might be different in one's mind. You know how those dealers/salesmen are. LOL
  2. Hey everyone! I am old, I just found this today: and Ive even spent a little time posting and still missed it. I really appreciate it, and Amazon, I almost had to rub my ass just thinking of a hug. Especially when Michelle mentioned a paddle. Thanks again, should be an exciting year, has to be right? J
  3. Just called him: He has locations DZ stores at Long Island, & Skys the Limit. His homes are located in Penn. and NY and is open for business in both.
  4. Dont You even mention Electricity to me. Hey.. Atleast I got really good at putting up and taking down the Pop-up over the 4 days I spent looking for power. even with the great Power quest of Skyfest 2008, I truly hope Skyfest returns to Chester. Great DZ for Skyfest I thought. (And J, Where ever Skyfest happens to end up.. Who has dibs on one power outlet before ANYONE else this year??) GD Michelle!! You had to mention electricity!!! I thought we were friends? What is it J, you looked for it so hard that you can even smell the word now? Damn that took about 3 minutes and here you come, bashing an old man! I think you know that no matter where, the first thing I will do is park about 8 cars around the reserved hookup until you get there. Hell Ill even hold your beer while you set up.
  5. I just replied to another inquiry in that thread. Check it out, or if you give me a canoe, no water, and alcohol you might be able to get more out of me. LOL
  6. The skydive store is located in NY, he is internet based but has plenty of inventory and I have been there when customers come by and shop. Talk to Art his website is www.skydivestore.com He also has affiliate locations at several other DZ's in tat area of the country. Hope that helps
  7. Well I did take it to Chester and guess what, record breaking 100 degrees that week. So it doesnt matter where SF is, cause its always gonna be a HOT event not to miss!!! See here for a little info on that question, scroll down to my last post (copy link button gone :( ) http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3350281;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread
  8. A move has not been decided at this time, future discussions will determine what is best for all parties involved. Either way, we all agree that the joining forces of SDC and SF was a wonderful experience for everyone and we will continue to work together in what ever ways necessary. Hope to have a press release out very soon with lots of information. There, did i side slide well enough??
  9. Shoot: Edited because I didnt clarify that the first 4 poll choices refer to: What week will school get out? I am hoping I will get 2 answers from you. Not sure how this will work, but there it is. One for the school dates and the other for desired event dates. SkyFest has always been 6 days and this year we had such a great response we unofficially opened registration a day early on the Tuesday, had a good turnout. So thinking we will give it another go. But I have always wanted to add another venue to this event but would require needing more weekdays and an additional weekend, thus finally forcing the "not so desirable" 10 days. I only say that because as a previous manufacturer rep and as the organizer of this event, anything over 4 days gets rough. Not to mention doing SF for 6 then having to go to the WFFC for 10 the following weekend, was murder let me tell ya. But with the tremendous manufacturer support we continue to have for this event (25 attended this year) I think it is time for the next step. So to stay inline with what SkyFest is all about: YOU (in case you didnt know) I need your help. I prefer to have the kids out of school a few days before it starts and ends with a full weekend before July 4th. Would like to announce dates and other critical information by early November. You support is greatly appreciated! Wow, 2009 will be its 9th year! Hard to believe I made my last jump with dad 9 years ago. Guess thats what breaking 40 does to ya. Comments welcome...
  10. Well even "confusing" marketing attempts still work sometimes. If you read the 07 shirt it is about the Texas memories and stats that we did for the 7 years in Texas, because we announcing that you can look for new dates and location for 2008. (hoping you guys would be walking billboards for the event, uggh) Thus explains why it says SkyFest 2008. But you have to read.......And you really should read the 07 stats, pretty cool data. on the 2008 shirt it invites you to come back to S Carolina in 2009 With that being said: Dont always believe what you read look for more details soon The glow in the dark was fun, PD released some of their clues about their internet game they were doing. I learned that light is not the only thing that "activates" the ink, sweat seems to make it become permanently visible. Maybe next year I will do what I wanted and print a code on the inside of the shirt chest high in glow ink. Have the right code and win a prize. Wouldnt that be fun? Off to post a Date survey for 2009, need to release them in 4-6 weeks if I want to do a better job with marketing. LOL
  11. Now thats the icing on the cake, after being stuck to the laptop, phone and painting a house, I just spent 15 minutes watching some of the silliest moves i have ever seen, all on my 41st. Then there is Sonic. Damn, wish i could get away and go out tonight, I need a drink. Is it over????? Good luck man!
  12. With the Redskins win in Dallas you know he is celebrating. Miss ya brother!
  13. Strong Enterprises has a Tridom container but all three are on the back, you might be able to borrow it. Sun Path has a chest mount, I think it is square, heck I wore it once but now I cant remember. I doubt Sun Path would send that out though. UPT has one for their SkyHook demo rig, but again I doubt they will cut loose of the belly mount. I know Strong does rent the Tridom rig occasionally. Just dont do what Ted did once and cutaway the packed 2nd main by accident when trying to release the cutaway main. Good luck and be safe
  14. I wanted to correct one piece of my explanation, the pin cover is sewn to the bottom closing flap not the right one. It is the sewn part that is catching the bridle, It catches at the top right corner of the sewn piece. Basically the attachment part of the pin cover is the problem. J
  15. Yup thats what I thought, what size G3? If the 190 is not what that Mirage G3 was made for and you are "stuffing" the 190 in it, then it doesnt surprise me that you are having these issues. The bridle is getting caught on the pin flap cover, the corner where it is hotknifed. The newer G3 and 4's have that part now sewn under the closing flap thus eliminating a snag point. Its hard to explain here but bottom line is: if you are stuffing the main into a main trey built for a smaller size you have greatly increased the chance of having the bridle hesitate or in tow. A rigger inspection will not catch this because there is nothing to be seen, everything will look normal. This was a "design" flaw in a sense, but only becomes that when over stuffing the main. hope that helps J
  16. First jump on your rig, what kind, size and what size main is in it? Is it used gear? There is one container out there built in the early 2000's that you do not want to stuff a larger main into it or you may experience pc in tow or hesitations regularly. Looks like everyone covered your body position issue, Im just curious as to why it hesitated on you, assuming it wasn't closing loop as mentioned.
  17. Good I dont feel so bad, sounds like we missed the same ones. A how to site that has wrong info Wel did ya learn anything though?

  20. Lincoln Logs! When I was in like 1st or 2nd grade one of my classmates stuck one up his dog's ass. Yeah thats it! Damn, did the dog bite him, that took some nerve, and not sure what else?
  21. Thats pretty sweet. http://parents.lego.com/en-gb/news/world%E2%80%99s%20largest%20lego%20ship.aspx What were the logs called, dammit Im getting old, used to build the log cabin? Something logs...brain lock....
  22. Yes he did one tandem back in 2007.I dont think he liked it as much as I expected him to.He was just kinda nonplussed saying "that was enjoyable" instead of how I came down on my first tandem yelling and giggling saying "that was BAD ASS I've GOT to do that again!"Different strokes for different folks I guess. But he is now my EX-husband (left him in December of '07 and the divorce was final May of '08).I've since left Huntsville and moved back to my hometown closer to Dallas. So its a bit more of a drive to Aggieland now but I used to do this distance drive every weekend when I was still doing AFP at Aggieland. So thats not a real big deal.
  23. Yup he never saw them again after that. So I wonder how he proposes next time, if he ever does. Maybe he'll just have a friend do it?
  24. Oh well, there will be more??? Sucks for both of them.. SFW http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PsB8HuRLiA
