  1. I'm with Skymama I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  2. Good luck with it all. Listen to members like POPS he knows what he is talking about I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  3. Any normal person knows there is a risk.. us tandem passengers do not need a video to tell us that. Signing a waiver which states in Australia (dangerous activity etc ) is enough. Once you make a booking the decision has already been made to jump (in my case anyway) With researching so easy these days with the net anyone who does not do a little research have rocks in their head. Of course over researching lead to the end of my brief but worthwhile jumping career. I know that anywhere I jump (what equipment they use.. previous accidents.. the CI etc before I arrive) I even read the TM handbook before my first tandem.(I am a nuffy I know) That served me well as I chose such high quality DZs as Skydive Nagambie (Mr Donald CROSS) and Australian Skydive Mr RALPH. 4. I have done 20 tandems 19 at the one place in Australia.. skydive Nagambie. (What can I say I like being strapped to another man in that position..joke of course)I never saw this video or others like it. yeah I signed a waver and assumed (I believe) the fairly low risk. (no tandoom deaths in Australia for 10 years.. yes Don and Louise being the nuffy that I am I researched it !! but possible I know) What a killjoy it would be to watch that before one jumps. You would almost feel like walking out. I understand the USA sues more readily than here but seeing that before a jump would deflate (pardon the pun) the whole experience. (like i said I understand why its shown over there) Thanks Wokka Dipsey Don Louise for the experience.. it was real !! Some times I fantasize I hear Don saying " greg come back and jump with Wokka all is forgiven" Then I wake up and say damm it was a dream !! Don the email is [email protected]. 5. Its a bit much coming from a woman who inherited everything. I have nothing but respect for folk who have made lots of money by themselves through hard work etc (Don Cross.. ) Alot of us Aussies cringe when she offers opinions. footnote at least over here we have reasonable wages. (I love the USA for a holiday but I mean Bloody hell $5 per hour for alot of staff at WDW. I mean shit !! How can anyone live on that. (yes I am generous with the gratuties) I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  6. QuoteConsidering people on here have 100's or 1000's of jumps we might be finding ways to make it fun. If it's not fun for you, just dont do it.[/ what she said !!] I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  7. I am glad some one else is copping it on here for a change. Have you all got skyhooks yet I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??

  12. Pictures from Apollo 11 You Probably Haven't Seen The Top Ten Events That Shaped Space Exploration and Why They Did RIP Neil. You will be missed. YEAH I WAS 11 when this happened. The biggest event I have witnessed on tv no doubt. 82 is not a bad age but one thinks those kind of legends will never die. This has sat me on my ass I only watched his cbs interview on you tube a few weeks ago. Apollo 11 was (in my opinion) the USA finest hour well bowled Neil(such a quiet and unaffected man) and the entire moon landing crews and all the 100s of folk that worked on the programme Fucking Brillantly done !!! 13. We look forward to your full report after your jump on the 26th August. having at alti on your wrist will be great experience. PM me if you wish I am always interested or [email protected]. have fun !! I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  14. Brillantly written Shah funny funny stuff !! I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  15. If an A license increases testicle size in men, what does a D license do to a woman? Do our tits get bigger? Our vaginas get tighter? And what about those poor guys who end up strapped to some non-penis wearer for their tandumb ride? Did their testicles shrink? Thanks for the laugh Skybytch great stuff. I now know why I suffer lower testicle size as despite 66 jumps I never got close to an A licence.. and too many tandems !!. I fear I may be gay (not that there is anything wrong with that !) I mean I was strapped to another man in a funny position 19 times (Still have dreams about WOKKA (TM) !) " Greg just get up and gently lower yourself onto my lap !! Shit. (funny how it does not matter up there) You brightened my day after reading that. !! I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  16. QuoteWhy do people assumed I haven't skydive. I have already skydived three times, and is currently saving up to do AFF course. I know my own reason for skydiving, I am not ALLOWED to state MY own OPINION. I am asking your opinion as it is my task to ask people why do YOU skydive. I have done plenty of research, I am required to have someone to tell me their opinion to complete my project. To state the obvious its the closest thing to human flight we can do (I would imagine wing suits are even better). freefall feels welll like freefall but I found its different to what i expected (no felling of losing ones stomach.. however whufffos do not believe it. All my friends say they could not do it cause they hate that feeling when a lift goes down fast or they look over the top of a building but of course we know its nothing like that. Good luck with your AFF Ma a'm your are in for one hell of a ride Good luck for the project as well I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  17. WHAT HE SAID!! apart from the being laid bit ... that has long passed me by I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  18. I will try. In 1981 a work mate said he was going to do a static line course in pakenham Vic and would I like to try. I said "yes" and was shaking when i said it. To say i was very nervous the day I turned up would be understating it. Anyway before long there we were up at 2500 feet and jumped . parachute opened and I kinda fell in love. tHAT FEELING IS ADDICTIVE !! (Although I know lots of people who did one tandem (at my recommendation) who loved it but will never do another one. Its just the total chaos of freefall that goes to the quiet and peaceful canopy ride . But its also about the whole experience. rising early driving to the DZ arriving early hoping the weather is OK.. talking to other jumpers and instructors. feeling like you do not want to be anywhere else on earth except there... and the jumps of course. So I really did IT for a dare (and went on to do 66 jumps over 30 years) which is nothing to most on here but alot of jumps to regular non jumpers. THE BEST THING I ever did PERIOD I supose people skydive for all reasons but for me it was the joy of freefall (a real buzz) and the shear excitement. Imagine how you feel when you jump your first rig that you packed yourself. (quite proud of yourself) I stopped and then came back some 30 years later for a brief period and that magic was still there. Why I stopped again is another story best wishes PM me if you like Greg W Babyrosey I see you have done 3 jumps DO SOME MORE !!! I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  19. Why did I ? something different for sure and fun The fact you can express an opinion and not be rediculed and bullied (hang on that did happen) The love you get from all your fellow skydivers (well some of them anyway) The fact that you can research about equipment etc without being labelled a smart arse (Hang on that did not happen) The fact you can be a bit different but not get bannesd from AFF at a DZ (hang on I did get banned at one) um cause I like beer and smokes (hang on I detest smoking and grog.. alcohol futher um I like getting up early (hang on I hate rising early on days off I could bring my parents to the DZ and show off and they could see what a hero I am !! all above is an attempt at humor Why did I jump ?? 1. it was fun 2 good people 3. exciting almost spiritual 4 nothing else even comes close that I have done and that includes horizontal folk dancing (sex) 5 plenty to learn ie challenging (not that I achieved much) 6 Sense of achieving something (see above kinda wish i could still do it. Plenty to love about it Cheers I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  20. No just serving the community in jobs that need to be done. No crusade or agenda !! (pay and conditions pretty good as well in Govt jobs 9 weeks paid leave good superannuation etc) What do you want .. stop catching crooks and let all the ones out of jail. 99 percent of Police and Prison officers that I know are good people.. like skydivers. !! (plenty of police skydive too !!! But FTP you haven"t even got the balls to say who you are or where you jump or jump numbers. I RESPECT ANYONE WHO IDENTIFIES THEMSELVES BUT NOT YOUR ILK. I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  21. I was a cop for 11 years and then a prison Officer for years and now govt security ect. It may surprise you I have complete bill of mental and physical health. For some reason I just do not fit in to your world (skydiving) Thanks OK squeak I had fun giving it a try. Obviously the gregdemon thing did not work out. Like I said most of what was said was tongue in cheek but it went down like a lead balloon. My fault I ruined my very brief skydiving career I met some great people WOKKA RALPH ( a wonderful wonderful man) PATRICK TIM and s yes Don CROSS and re aquainted with my first jumpmaster in 1981 on the rounds John SWANLAND and many many more good people Good luck to you squeak. you have obviously nailed skydiving (compared to me anyway) If its got to the stage where folk are questioning my mental state it must be time for me to leave. So I leave CYA best wishes to all and thanks for the experience my reunion tour of skydiving was fun.. better than the original. A doom or 2 will still be done whilst travelling to Las vegas etc(only at DZs that have sigma and skyhooks of course LOL) NO one is going to stop me doing that. I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  22. Care to say who you are where you jump or jump numbers or are you hiding from me As for being right I am always right (NOT !!!) in fact any truth I say in a statement is a rare thing. I tried a public apology it did not work.(It was sincere.. but given my history I understand the feelings about it. Now you can all worry about something important because I am not !! I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  23. I seem to annoy you squeak .. thats a good thing.. I just laugh at you. You take it all so seriously. I respect your jump numbers and ratings I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
  24. Thanks Dahlem. Enjoy your first tandem. I have accepted my time is up at Naggas and prob every where else in Australia. it was fun.. the banter on the net was fun but it went too far. PM me when you do your first jump would love to hear about it. believe it or not I love skydiving and like 99 per cent of jumpers. You will have fun and meet lots of good people.. like I did. but I ruined it. Greg I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??
