  1. The owner is correct. RI didn't start using T's in their sizing until the mid-90's. rigginginnovations.com All original Talons (sometimes called Talon 1's) used confusing numbers and letters to designate container sizes, if you are looking to buy, get something of a later manufacture.
  2. I heard Wally fell out of a Porter and landed on a Ghurka knife. RIP.

    surprising.............
  4. Are you using metal links? Would like to see photos of the whole riser showing the damage side too.
  5. Wish I had known him better. Blue skies.
  6. Streetscooby said it, POINT YOUR TOES!!!
  7. You did the right thing. It's not worth trying to figure out any other way.
  8. A good pilot, that REALLY understands the systems, and lots of fire extinguishers. They sound cool though. This reminds about the old adage; "How do you make a small fortune in the skydive business..... start with a large one". I worked for a Beech dealer in the late 80's, we were maintaining 4 of them when I started, down from 12 the year before, all were stock geared motors but one that had the IO-720 conversion, the "stockers" were lucky to get 6 to 8 hours with out some kind of failure that required a in flight shut down. The sad thing is these aircraft are going for really fucking cheap, there is a reason, they are beyond obsolete for what we are doing. They were designed for for hauling some asshole and his asshole friends to Palmsprings and then hauling his asshole buddies to meet some other assholes for some kind of business meetings, aka, keep it altitude for a long while, chop the throttles shock cool it, then try to impress the line boys as you taxi in and hope your not on fire. Get a Cessna Caravan, climbs as fast, uses less fuel, hauls as many bodies and pilots are easier to find, OR, look up parts prices for a IGSO-380.
  9. Yeah , the 60" was a little tough to maneuver around the propane tank and I had to be careful not to knock over the smoker and the still right behind it. heard on the news you guys are going to get between 2 and 22 inches of rain, get your kayak out sister!! Saw the video of the kite surfer, stupid should be painful.
  10. You need a John Deere with a wide deck, maybe 60" if you don't have alot of trees to go around. When you get it, tell the salesman you will need a green John Deere hat, get hubby to take a picture of you wearing the hat and sitting on the mower then send it to all your friends in Germany, oh yeah be holding a Budweiser too!! Seriously, my family has owned several John Deere tractors and mowers over the years, the only one that broke was the one that had a tree fall on it, good maintenance is the key. The Cub Cadets are also great machines, the only reason we never used them was the dealer network wasn't very good in our part of the world.
  11. I still can't believe Honda can't get they're development right.
  12. You never finished telling me your 4 way story last summer, I wish you had. See ya someday buddy.
  13. I'm gonna be there. Get your own room and car lady!!! xoxo Gordo I mean, Good luck. I really mean, Hi Barbara, you couldn't find anywhere better to go? Wait, I REALLY mean, Hi Barbara, see you when you get here!! xoxo gl
  14. Call Square2 520-466-9566. Don't know what they have in stock but they sell a lot of them.
  15. I've been jumping a Stiletto for the last 14 years, Velo's are really fun, but crazy, katana's, fun to fly, sane openings, okay landings. IMO, Stilettos are easy to fly, easy to land, and the openings are okay provided the packer has their s@#* together (short, tight line stows. decent lower steering lines.). So if a gear dealer says "Thats a blast from the past", find another dealer, PM me if you need to find one. PS The customer is always right, buy what YOU want to buy.
  16. ......and english is his second language.
  17. Yeah, that was certain RWS Vectors from the early to mid 90's. I think rigs look better with the terminal "eyelet" crimps covered with shrink tube.
  18. Most shrink tube will only shrink in diameter not length (at least the stuff we use) but thats easy enough to figure out with a test piece, cut to length of the old one shrink with heat and see how much it shrinks. It's really not required to be on the rig, it just hides the ugly crimp on the terminal.
  19. Black shrink tubing, you can get it at Radioshack, some auto parts stores in the electrical sections, Lowes, Home Depot. CAREFULLY cut off the old stuff, cut the new stuff to the same length as the old piece, slip it on the housing and shrink using a blowdryer.
