I have a Dolphin, compared to my last Javelin it is a hunk of shit but the reserve part works.

I'm surprised more people don't buy a Racer 2k3 Shadow (all black rig, no options, extremely well-priced) over the Dolphin as well... You are preaching to the choir here, a lot of people here on the west coast like to jump a wings that wont open a flap at 300 miles per hour or reserve flap at 60. Sick hunh? Racer will ALWAYS open in a jam, cool kids should not apply!

Why would I drive twice as far and NOT jump a Skyvan? The people and facility's! The office is completely surrounded by shade cloth and you can pack or camp on different surfaces, they are also the only DZ around who will do AFF or recurrency training for big (fat) folks up to 270 pounds without a rig. No cliques or posers, just pure skydiving...Also when Elsinore or Perris are weathered out they might be jumping here. No more bunkhouse but a couch is usually available.

Since nowadays racers are kinda rare to see especially on the West coast and tards on the Dropzone try to tear them apart as being unsafe I appreciate him posting this and being under the scrutiny of some grumpy old bastards on this forum. (looks up)

I did say sometimes, right? Perris HAS a restaurant/bar. not a better one, your post could make the uninformed think Elsinore has one. I like the landing area at Perris better, but you are right the view is better at Elsinore. The packers are WAY friendlier at Elsinore and not as rough on your canopy.
