  1. Powered dived some homie over henderson, he saw his life flash before his eyes. LOL!
  2. Don't fit no more. But it would seem to take some of the fun out of not doing the Bulldog out the car window thing by wearing a full face... (and no shit about you kids getting off my lawn ROFL!)
  3. They are freaky, after so many 60 second freefalls your internal clock is saying PULL!
  4. Yeah. old fucker here, WTF? Need it to hear your ditter? Is old school "dead"?
  5. I saved a balloon from going into some trees on a windy day, after that I ground crewed for them (big time work if you have to tarp) and did about 20-30 jumps from various sized balloons they owned. This first one was a Two man Balloon, I don't recommend that! Actually got to jump around my home, it was super cool...
  6. Bump for a great thread.
  7. They seem to have bought the whole mountain over there in Soboba, mostly paragliding but very accepting of SpeedFlyers and seems like great people and great location. Going to be a major party going down on cinco de mayo, with a live band and maybe, just maybe a few cervezas might be consumed, they also have a gigantic firepit to shoot the shit around. I really think the future holds some great Speedflying here.
  8. I can't believe it will be Twenty years soon, what a sad day that was.
  9. Make sure you check his bumper for that ass gas sticker first.
  10. This guy does. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNfgu-bYEvc
  11. Stopped Troy from climbing out with his brand new handy dandy ZP pilot chute sticking out, it still came out during the skydive. He landed pretty far from the dropzone...(I picked him up)
  12. That became standard equipment on Javelins...... About a week later The Sky Gods used to say " I'd rather catch one, than jump one".
  13. Balloons jumps rock, my first one was out of a two man balloon, me being 260 with gear. We went into terminal fall rate of the balloon and when I got out he went up like a champagne cork in a spiral, his ride was way more exciting than mine. As close to a base jump as you can get, actually feeling yourself going from dead air to free fall speed is SUCH a rush! The only danger is you normally don't know where you will land because you never know where you will be when the balloon gets to altitude, no wind socks, no power line knowledge, take the power poles and connect the dots before final...
  14. I have to admit I sucked at skydiving, perris has always had the best and brightest, I was safe and always had my eye out on chest straps and loose pilots chutes. I saved a few mals here and there and maybe a fatality or two but my RW skills sucked ass, what kept me doing it except the rush? Being able to party with the Sky Gods Like Scotty, NickDg, Blue and Pat McGowan, Holy crap what a fun time. I don't know if Nick ever posted his down under bridge jump here or not, it was awesome to hear it from him, he is a good dude...
  15. A buddy lied to me, said first AFF was $150 and was a forty five minute class and they had a million dollars worth of insurance if anything went wrong. Thanks Kurt!
  16. Do they still get drunk and piss in your crater?
  17. Jump 14 was a cutaway, riser twists had my chin pinned to my chest, Thank god a glider pilot directed Bad Spot Bill to my rental canopy. The DZ was kinda wooly back then...
  18. In the 90's I was staying in the front house at Perris and had no idea who the dude was, got up in the morning and this guy is throwing confetti in his hair and putting on these clown glasses to start the day. I asked him what the @#$! he was doing and he said "Organizing". I thought that was a strange way of organizing yourself. Later I figured it out.
  19. Randy Cotoure is the man, a real class act. Chuck Liddels speech seems a little slower lately, maybe he had some mild brain damage lately. Hello to everyone here from So Cal!
