  1. Thanks! I didn't do any post processing other than resizing the jpegs that came out of the camera. The sunsets over the Chesapeake Bay really do look like that sometimes and this was a particularly nice one. I attached the settings I used if you're interested. I used the camera's built in flash.
  2. Some shots from a recent sunset jump and a fun photoshop.
  3. Ask for a picture of the label. If it's not faded it should tell you all you need to know. Be careful. A friend of mine just got scammed trying to buy a Raven.
  4. Looking forward to it! There should be a pretty good size crew from Delmarva there.
  5. We may do that again this year but not this weekend. We're expecting too many people to make it practical to do crabs. If we do another crab feast this year I'll post it here.
  6. Dinner will be cookout style food. Burgers, dogs, chicken, beef, fixins, sides, etc.
  7. This question has come up a few times so I figured I'd post it. AADs are not required for license holders at Skydive Delmarva. Any other questions about the dropzone just let me know.
  8. Just a heads up, jumping will start at 1PM on Friday and continue on through Sunday. Rock on.
  9. If you're coming to the boogie and you haven't registered yet, please do so at http://skydivedelmarva.com/max.php so we can get an idea of how many people are coming. Thanks!
  10. There will be 2 bands at the MAX boogie!! GIZMO - www.myspace.com/gizmobmore Tom Whalen (keys) Jim Hickey (Bass) Dan Sullivan (Drums) Randy Sullivan (Guitar) Gizmo has been a functional group for a 6 years now. We mysteriously popped up out of the ground somewhere and just started playing music in an old airplane hanger. The rest is history. Countless others have attempted to steal our thunder but none have yet to stop us from from infecting our music into the minds of others. With our combination of extremely powerful and catchy riffs mixed with melodic soaring vocals, what's not to fall in love with. Now is the time for a band of great calibre to make it's entry into the ears of America. Listen in, you'll want to hear more. Grilled Lincolns - http://www.grilledlincolns.com/ Meet The Grilled Lincolns, also known as “The G-Linx” for short, one of the hottest bands in Baltimore! This group of five talented musicians—Riddie Becker, Rob “Raw B” Dubois, Mike “Tron” Bakke, Jeremy Ragsdale, and Andy Hall a/k/a “Big Slop (Spittin Lyrics On Point)"—was founded in 2000. The G-Linx have been playing sold out shows in the Baltimore/DC metropolitan area and along the east coast. Influenced by rock, blues, hip-hop, jazz and reggae, The Grilled Lincolns have created a unique, funky style that appeals to more than one genre of music lover.
  11. Dan Ortiz "DanO" from Team CK1 has been confirmed as a free fly organizer for the boogie. He'll get here Friday afternoon and be available all weekend.

  14. The CASA is likely for the weekend but not confirmed. If the CASA is unavailable, the boogie fee will be reduced and there will be discounted jump tickets. Efforts will be made to find a different specialty aircraft. 15. EPIC SkillzWork Saturday Meet at the creeper pad at 8:15 with 4 jump tickets. Michelle says: I've heard from folks who've had fun doing Skillz that they would like to do it again, so let's giddy up this Saturday. I think I've got it a bit more dialed now: depending on how many participate, we'll break into 3 groups and go for 4 jumps each, then anyone who can stick around for an end of the day big-way, I say, let's smoke it! If you want to play on Saturday, please let me know in advance; please show up no later than 8.15am on the creeper pad (I promise I'll be on time and will bring sweets); and please bring 4 jump tickets with you. I want to get us organized, manifested and dirt dived for 2 jumps; then roll through 6 loads; take a break; plan 2 more jumps and roll on. COST: The coaching is free! All you have to do is show up with 4 jump tickets and commit to the entire day (consistency = epic learning!). There is an opportunity for a reduced cost video slot, so RSVP & we'll work it out. Wingsuit Weekend Tony Uragallo from Tony Suits and The Brothers Gray from The Wingsuit Acadamey will be here Saturday and Sunday with Wingsuit Demos and Coaching. Potluck Dinner We're having a potluck dinner on Saturday night. The theme is slow cooker food. Those who can should each put something good in their slow cooker (ribs, chicken, pot roast, vegetables, etc.) during break time of the Skillz day so it'd be ready around beer-light time. Those who don't have a slow cooker can bring some beverages, a side dish, or contribute a few bucks for supplies.
  16. Hey Justin, I am a rigger in the DC area (Severna Park) who will repack a Reflex. I just repacked one about half a year ago which was used in a real cut away, and it actually still worked! Keith, Joe and Ed at Skydive Delmarva probably would pack it too.
  17. Has anyone tried on Optimum 143 in the NJ? How did that go?
  18. Has anyone packed a PDR 143 in a Javelin NJ? If so how well does the NJ handle the 143? Thanks!
  19. Not yet. Believe me, I'll let everyone know as soon as I know.
  20. Yeah, early registration will also be pushed back to end three weeks before the boogie.
  21. Hey everyone, Much as I hate to say it the MAX Boogie is being postponed because of an unforseen scheduling conflict with the CASA. The new date will most likely be in late July or early August. The dropzone manager is working with the plane owner to nail it down. I'll let everyone know as soon as I hear. Anyone who registered can choose to use their registration fee for the new date or get a refund. Just let me know. -Gregor
