  1. I am going to their Easter Boogie. I was given exact dates after the boogie to do some coaching with Olav. Are you sure that he is gone???
  2. Yes Eloy, I did my first 60 jumps there. The instructors were the best and I felt welcome there from the first moment. A very important aspect you should look into is safety. In Skydive AZ they care about safety a lot. That is the first thing I was taught. To be safe for myself and for others. After that all of it is fun! As far as the landing goes they have two huge landing areas with grass. One of the two is designated for students. I kept landing there afterwards to avoid traffic until I felt comfortable with the main landing area. You will always have somebody to jump with you. My jump number 26 (after I got my license) was with someone who had hundreds of jumps. My jump 27 was with a lot of guys with thousands of jumps. People did care about a new guy and they were willing to give me advice and jump with me to improve my skills. Of course you just have to ask. You can stay at their bunkhouse for free while you are a student. There is a gear-store in the dropzone. Also pool for the hot AZ days. They organize lots of events where you can get cheaper price tickets and meet and even jump with some of the best jumpers in the world. There is decent food at the bar and of course beer. Stay safe and have fun!
  3. Hello my friend, I checked at the dropzones section and saw that in Belgium there are 8 dropzones. Ofcourse I do not know how many of them are active. You can maybe try some dzs in Holland, France or Germany (it depends where you live). So maybe if you check out a new dropzone and get some coaching were you are going to set some goals to achieve then you will find that lost motivation). It is too much of a wonderful sport to quit. Plus at your age with 80 jumps already I would stop for anything in the world.
  4. I did 3 tandems before AFF. My first was in 2002 just to say that I've done it. The second was in 2004 just to say I've done it again. The third was the day I started AFF in 2005. I finally had the money. Blue ones

  10. I took a trip to Belize before I became a skydiver and scubadiver. So I went snorkelling with some friendly sharks and went caving as well. Belize is an amazing country. I bet the boogie there rocks. I would love to go back to Belize and especially in a boogie. Cheers
  11. Is there a way a civilian can do such type of jumps? That would be an awesome experience.

  18. What do do while I wait.... Read the forums on dropzone.com and watch videos on skydivingmovies.com Drink beer while doing that!!!
  19. I know how you feel my friend. During my AFF I had to go through the same. Was working like crazy for two weeks to get the money for the levels, woke up at 5:30 to drive to the DZ and be there early for the first load but the wind played an ugly game to me for the rest of the day. At some point I was talking to my instructor and said that I wouldn't mind jumping into high winds, being stupid at the time. She proceeded to say that when she was my age she acted the same way and then showed me the huge scar on her leg from a jump in a windy day. She broke it in multiple spots and was out of the sport for a long time. I waited for 8 hours until the school was closed hoping the winds will calm. I finished a book that day and talked with many people. By the way this past weekend we had no jumps where I jump beacuse of the winds. That shows that our sport needs patience. Sometimes lots of it. Maybe try to praise the ancient Greek god of wind, Aeolos. You never know... Good luck with getting your A Blue Skies without winds!!!
  20. wow nice video Lok. It was such an event that all the village was at the dropzone! Yes people, come and jump with us in Greece. Last weekend in one load we had jumpers from Greece, Cyprus, Latvia and Spain. That is not a very usual thing for us but it seems that people love the dropzone. Who can beat the mediterranean blue? We are waiting for you. Blue skies
