  1. Who is going? What's the plan? I wouldn't mind improving my sitfly skill and possibly getting into head down....
  2. Neptune doesn't track jumps, or does it?Quote
  3. Hello. I'm looking for an audible altimeter and want it also to log my jumps. Which one would you recommend? Is one better than the other? Why? Tx.
  4. So I'm waiting for my new rig. Oh yeah, I'm waiting for winter to be over so I can use the new rig. I'm waiting to maybe to go Florida in March and if the weather is good I'll be waiting to jump. Waiting sucks.... Just thought I'd let you know.... I wish my rig was here so I could at least look at it. What do do while I wait....
  5. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WEEEEHOOOOOO
  6. I have decided to order Vector 3 as my first container. How do I know how to select riser size? 19" vs. 21" vs. 23"??? Also Ring type size: large ring Type 8 (what is this), Mini ring with Type 17 (what is this)? Thanks for your help.
  7. Just got my A license in the mail today. weeeeeehoooooooo eyeyyeyeeyeyyeyeyeyeyye So cool. weee hooo
  8. Thank you for very useful information. Actually everyone gave me very useful information. Some made me laugh more than others. I did my MRI today and my knee is starting to hurt less. I also did a jump just to see how it goes so I used my good leg and then butt. I can see where this could become a habit. I'll see by Friday what the MRI says, rest up my knee a bit more and then decide about the weekend. I talked to a tandem instructor who also tore his meniscus and was jumping today (with a brace). Little did we know we have the same doctor so talking to him is making me a bit more comfortable about jumping, not that I'm not thinking about all the risk. Anyhow, thank you all for your input, I'll let you know how it goes or if it doesn't. Skydivers are really a great bunch of people. I'm so excited I'm getting into the sport.
  9. Had a bit of a twist on my landing this weekend. I think I heard something pop. But since I've had problems with this knee decided to keep jumping. Two more jumps and then I figured I better stop tempting the good guy upstairs. Today it hurts quite a bit so I went to see my doctor who of course scheduled me for an MRI thinking it is a meniscus tear. I hurst almost the same way it did 3 years ago when I hurt that knee. I'm thinking about getting a brace and jumping! Doctor said he's not going to tell me to jump cuz I could hurt it more (no kidding), but he didn't say don't either. I know I'm pushing it but would like to get my A license in before the end of the summer. So any opinions of professional advice I would greatly appreciate. Thanks.
  10. So I'm new at this. With 12 jumps (including tandem) I'm interested in looking into my own rig, but have no idea of what to look for. My jumpmaster is also a rigger and he's looking as well. In the mean time I want to ask for your opinion as far as first rig goes. I'm about 5'7" 155lbs. What should I look for when it comes to first rig? What did you like/didn't like about your first rig? How big, what brand, etc. etc. ? Thanks.
