Okay this is from a guys perspective. Definatly cut away. Don't pull the reserve. One bit of advice is when you eventually do get back into a relationship is maybe stay away from the guys who really "excite" you. Go for the more stable type who you know have a job, want a relationship, ect....I guerentee the guy who is emotionally avilable will not be as exciting as the guy who just dosn't care, but only at first. Sounds cynical but these are observations I have made of female friends and ex-gf's. Of course I am single now so any relationship advice I give should be taken with A LOT of salt.

I cannot tell you about deployment times/heights for cutaways but I can tell you that there are BASE canopies that used to be skydiving reserves. I have seen a guy use a cruiselite (sp?) and I myself use a Raven IV. Keep in mind though that the wingloading on these canopies is around .7 where as your sport reserve may be loaded more than that making it a bad BASE canopy. Also, a special pilot chute, bridle, and container is used for BASE aplications...I know you said this was just academic but hypothetically speaking, please don't go off of a 300' building using the reserve on your sport rig.

Okay, I have herd the H-mod on the Cobalt makes if fly one size smaller. Is this true for bigger Cobalts? I am looking at a canopy in the 150 range and was wondering if after I put a few hundred jumps on it if the H-mod would be an like downsizing....rather than buying a whole new canopy.

Can you wash a canopy? There is this great used canopy for sale. It is in great condition, flys great and opens nice. The owner is selling it real cheap because the thing does have the one bad charcteristic of smelling like cat pee. Is there any way I could wash this out? I really don't want to have to pack somthing that stinks but if I could buy it and wash it... Thanks for any advice!

I did my first BASE jump this weekend. That was fun.

It is good to see someone finally say this. I asked one of our local skygods once if you could even land a Velocity in a straigh in aproach and his response was "yes, but why would you want to?" It is nice to see someone who sells gear give a no shiter about cannopies.

So where can we get more information/ pictures of these new canopies. And what is a quad cell? Sounds cool. Is that one vertical and one horizantal cross brace cutting the cell into fourths?

Skymonkey one mentioned in a previous post that he would be competing under a cross braced atair canopy next year. Can anyone provide any information about that particular canopy. I am not at that leval of bad assitude in canopy control yet but I am interested in any information about canopy control and canopy design I can get. Thanks

I think that jfields may have some issues...just cause I am willing to look pretty does not mean that I am looking for anything....but jfields goes off and looks for homosexual undertones. He then overcompensates and must states that he needs two women, not just one. Hmmm, sounds like jfields is the queer, not that there is anything wrong with that. I have usually noticed that the straight people at our DZ are the ones who can be the queerest at times while the in the closet types are the ones that feel the need to overcompensate. But again, there is nothing wrong with that big boy.

Wow, that is cool. Kinda Christmasie but it also puts the whole idea of overcrowding into perspective. Looking at the picture you can really see that there is less and less empty space available to just get away into the middle of no where. Unless you go to Canada but what kind of hoser wants to do that?
