It's called having a life! Out here in southern California it takes 2 incomes to buy a decent house close to a major city (so you don't have to commute 2 plus hours each way) Then the payments are incredible which forces people to work overtime. majority of people live to work or work for the house they own. Which they really don't own until it's paid for. Because the majority of people are approximately 6 weeks away from foreclosure. if they were to lose their jobs. Just an FYI I went back to Cal City a couple of week ago to make some skydives (haven't been out there in a year) First thing I notices was 2 pilots at the controls of the Otter. Van (owner of DZ and one of the pilots) said "he feels it's better to fly with 2 sets of eyes and hands instead of one, to decrease the chances of having an accident, or if a problem was to arise. In addition they fly a lot of military loads during the week for Edwards AFB and China Lake Navy. Cal City is a small family owned and operated DZ You will have no problem fitting in. Everyone there is really cool and are willing to jump with you regardless of how many jumps you have.
