  1. Well hury up and get there so we can have a tunnel in Houston!
  2. I never knew that the man who invented rubber bands did so for the purpose of breaking. Seriously, tube stoes are designed to break at 25lbf. If your fully inflated pilot chute applies 90lbf of drag, a tube stoe will break if need to. A tube stoe is more reliable than a rubber band because it can roll. This causes less frictional force in pulling lines through than a flat rubber band. If this is one of those retarded bag lock arguments, it's truly retarded. The last bag lock I saw (and pulled out of the woods for the jumper) had rubber bands on it. Based on our evaluation, the baglock would not have occurred if the jumper had used tube stoes. Why didn't the rubber band break? I don't know, but it was holding flat against the lines causing much more frictional force against pulling the lines than a tube stoe would have because it would have rolled. Eric if you're still reading you should post the picture. Tube stoes were made to wear less than rubber bands. They do not cause bag locks in situations that a rubber band wouldn't. It's an inbred theory passed around by the ignorant and uneducated. The only reason to get rubber bands over tube stoes is the lower cost. 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook

    Sit suit?

I've done some flights with some larger guys using the same balls, but I don't know if they were quite as big as 250lbs. Definitely some who were over 200 though and they were able to sit comfortably with a ball calibrated at 160mph. Guess I need to find a freeflyer who weighs 250lbs who is willing to undergo some fall rate tests. 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  4. The tubing I'm finding for sale has size listings in ID/OD. I'm not sure what your third dimension is when you say to look for tubing 4x1x1. So you're saying that the right size tubing is 4mm outer diameter and 3mm inner diameter? 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook

    Sit suit?

Disagree. A smaller person is also presenting less surface area tot he relative wind. A big person presents a lot more. If you throw in jumpsuit bagginess for the heavier person and a tighter suit for the lighter person, it can be done absolutely comfortably. The bagginess doesn't even have to be extreme. I tested this theory with some spaceball flights. I took a small 100lb girl in a freefly suit and (with some practice and training) had her sitflying comfortably with a calibrated 170mph spaceball. She could even catch it. A big heavy dude in a baggier jumpsuit should be able to slow his sit down to 170mph without too many problems. Fall rate adjustment may be more difficult for a less experienced freeflyer but with some practice this scenario is absolutely possible. 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  6. Love tube stoes. Always have, always will. I buy the non-colored ones for microline (HMA500). They usually come with a few for locking stoes and the rest for regular stoes. I keep going through the locking stoes ones faster than the regular and end up with bags full of regular stoes and I order more just for the locking stoes. Anyone know how/where I can order just a bag of only locking stoes? Alternative: I found an old thread where people say making them yourself is pretty easy. Did a couple of searches and couldn't find any good sizes that match up to the old threads recommendations. Any ideas on a good place to buy a roll of the right tubing? 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook

  9. I tried to warn you!!! You have to be careful when tossing around the words... ahem... "A.M." It's kind of like saying "Betelgeuce" three times in a scat porn sort of way. Beware of waking up the Extreme Wade. 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook

  11. When I was a bit younger the older gals would always feed me with the same lines and flirtatious challenges you give Skittles. I never showed all my cards. I eventually got my way and still kept my cards to myself. Whenever some truth to my numbers did come out they always called me a dirty dirty whore. They're not wrong Even though the older girls were smarter, they were always easier. Oh and women cry after sex because they're an emotional wreck. It's sooo annoying. 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  12. Interesting, there is such a noticeably huge difference in quality amongst the medium quality level tapes by brand. The Sony premiums performed way better than the comparable JVCs. But you get what you pay for. If they come from the same roll, is there a price difference? So you use and recommend the AME II? 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook

  14. Boo! It would appear that the Sony DVM 60EXL series tapes have been discontinued! http://www.superwarehouse.com/Sony_Camcorders/b/250/c/2988/d http://protape.stores.yahoo.net/sonydvm60exl.html Any help on what's a good replacement without sacrificing quality or paying too much? Know of anywhere these are stocked up so I can buy a bunch? I just ran out and need to get more tapes. 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook

  18. So is there no way to make long grained brown rice as soft and fluffy like its white counterpart? Or does it just take a ridiculous amount of more attention? 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  19. I could use a little advice on rice... I’ve enjoyed cooking this Salmon & Basil Risotto dish for some time now. It has you pan fry some rice for a little in olive oil, then pour in some stock and cooking wine to cook together and soak up. My problem is that the original recipe calls for some Arborio rice. I've never found Arborio rice at my local grocery store but had used short grained white rice and it worked fine. I’ve been recently trying to substitute longer grained brown rice but it hasn’t been going well. After the absolute same cooking procedure, the brown rice is crunchy and feels undercooked. It still absorbs the same amount of liquid, but is still hard and chewy. I’m guessing that brown rice needs to absorb more liquid in order to become soft and fluffy like white rice, is this right? Or does it need less and I’m overcooking it? Maybe it reacts differently to being fried? What’s the deal with substituting different kinds of rice? Is there a conversion factor to use different rice? 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook

  21. You have truly proven yourself a computer Jedi Knight. There must be some way to have quality protection without having to pay lots of (or any) money to a company. Any ideas? 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  22. So how were people able to tell where it came from? I had absolutely no idea that it came from dropzone.com, even less a specific rolling ad. I would have never known if I didn't read about other people getting the same problems I did and where it came from. If Adobe and similar programs allow for remote execution without user interaction, then any knowledgeable person anywhere can do whatever they want with my computer any time right? What is the benefit for allowing any program to allow remote execution without user interaction? It seems like the risks would always out weigh the benefits. In fact, I'd say it was a very stupid idea! Does this mean that having anti-virus software can be pretty pointless? If a virus can just shut it off, then what's the point? 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  23. That DZ.com virus that got me and a bunch of others... I know people said that it was because of a Coors ad, but my knowledge of how computers work and all that nonsense is pretty limited. How does a visual Coors ad upload viruses to my computer? I'm hoping someone could explain to me how the virus got downloaded onto my computer. I guess I was always under the impression that in order to get a virus one had to physically download something from a site or from an email. All I did was leave the DZ.com page open and left to a party. I never clicked download to anything, I wasn't even around! So I guess viruses can get onto your computer by simply viewing a page? How does that work? How did it work in this case? How did it get itself into my registry? Any computer experts out there that can explain this stuff? 108 way head down world record!!! http://www.simonbones.com Hit me up on Facebook
  24. Wow, sounds like this is building up to be quite the freefly competition. Real freefly, not turning points. You've got a lot of organizing to do Dave! I'm sure you will not disappoint.
