If you stall your parachute with one rear, the fabric on the stalled side is still there, and the other side pressurized. What happens? Pressurized side drives around the stalled side. SPIN Step into my (sub)terminal Playground

5,000 signatures is a big threshold for a small community like this. There probably aren't even that many skydivers who follow what goes on here in dropzone.com. And then there's the whole idea that somehow if you can't get 5,000 people to sign a petition, then the issue must not be important enough to do anything about it... thanks for your imput negative nancy....but hopefully we can get the word out to as many outlets as possible (dz.com being one) and those people can spread the word. our petition is visible to the public, and they are actively signing as well. the issue is important to us, and the unjust persecution of BASE jumpers in our own national parks will come to an end...we can only hope this provides that, or leads us in the right dirrection. its a fraud check scam. i "sold" her a reserve. she sent me an overnight saturday delivery check in the amount of 3000. i sold it for 700. i immediately knew what was going on, but being curious I asked about the diffence. She told me once i get the money to send her the remainder. Yea so I take all the risk. FUCK HER Step into my (sub)terminal Playground -
Last 700 jumps with gatorz and contact lenses and never had a problem. I dont where a helmet except on AFF (Factory Diver). Freefly, wingsuit, big ways, aff, tandem all with them. No problems. Step into my (sub)terminal Playground

Then what is the benefit of a funjumper doing a wingsuit jump, or even a skydive for that matter. nothing its pointless act, other than ones own enjoyment. i think it looks awesome, and if they both enjoyed themselves then it was worth it, as long as the passanger understood the risks. How many jumps did u have when u did your first wingsuit jump?
baseknut replied to mrbiceps's topic in Wing Suit Flying
186th skydive was my first wingsuit jump. You have 85 jumps now, it seems like forever until you will reach around 200, but it will come. And you'll be glad you waited. This is my 2cents from one newb to another. I now have over 200 wingsuit jumps, and I dont think I would have made it through certain circumstances and scenarios if it wasnt for my experience with these in non-winged jumping. Take it slow. Learn alot...live to play another day. ~Jake Step into my (sub)terminal Playground -

My first canopy was a Sabre1 170. I put a hundred or so jumps on it. It was an awesome first main. I was 210 out the door and it flew fine. I landed off safely, avoiding obstacles safely, and lived being cut off. Basically it all comes down to if you think your skills would be conducive to you flying and landing it safely. At my wingloading I didnt notice much of a difference between a 190 and a 170, except in front risers and a slight agility gain. Do what you think you should do. ~J Step into my (sub)terminal Playground

Hey, I do think the wind tunnel is a great tool for preparing you for skydiving, but the bill will get expensive rather quick. I was in you place a couple years ago. I had the itch to jump, but I was too young. That was when I was your age, 15. Here is what I did: Got a job ASAP. probably shortly after my 16th birthday. Saved my arse off until my 18th birthday. I had enough money to get my license within 3 weeks, and I had my first rig in a month. It will suck, and the time goes by slow. But when you are ready for your 1st jump, expenses will seem more in reach than you think. Also, I'd like to add that the USPA requires you to be 16, but some state laws require you to be 18. Check your local dropzone for their rules and regulations. (click the dropzone tab at the top). Hint: Non USPA dropzone if your state doesnt have an age 18 law regarding skydiving. Make friends with the locals, pack for free, buy drinks etc.... Your networking may pay off to your favor...If you have any questions regarding specifics, PM me. (click on my profile and select send private message). Stay determined and you'll fly, Jake Step into my (sub)terminal Playground
