  1. So did you end up getting up to jump? SA
  2. A GPS is what my girl has been wanting for a couple of years now so I finally looked into it and purchased a Garmin 550c. I checked the www.pcmag.com website for reviews. This was one that wasn't too much, but had the necessary features...traffic info! Pricing wasn't too bad. I ended up getting it from PCRUSH.com, who seemed to have the most reasonable price. Going on to PCMag's website will allow you to see where you can buy it and for how much and whether or not they are new or refurbished, etc. Good luck! SA

    Kitty Cats

Kung Fu kitty kicks ass! SA
  4. Hey bertusgeert, I can't comment on the jumping on that side of the U.S., but as far as recurrency jumps, I had to do one a couple years back. It cost me $90 to do the meet up with the instructor who quizzed me and walked me through safety maneuvers, etc. Then he jumped out with me, at full altitude. I will have to do a recurrency jump in June 2008 when I get back, however, I'm going to also have to pay for a reserve repack. I'll probably spend some time in the tunnel before the recurrency jump so I can make sure I don't completely flail. Good luck! SA
  5. Yeah, that was pretty disappointing. SA
  6. Congrats on paying off the student loans! That doesn't mean you have to grow up yet, though. Nice work on the new rig, also. Have fun with it and stay safe! SA
  7. I've been trying to control my whoring tendencies. Who knows, things may change once I hit that "100th" post! SA
  8. They had to go in shave down a "lesion", which if you don't know is chipped bone area. Every time I had a dislocation a piece of bone in my shoulder would chip. In addition to that, they put in five pins to reattach the muscle and the bones. It's not too bad, just soreness and stiffness in the morning...more than normal! SA
  9. I don't know how many of you remember me, or even care to...hehe...for those of you who do, I'm looking at being back out in Perris in June '08! I had my shoulder surgery a couple of weeks ago and I'm well into PT. See you all soon! SA
  10. Definitely a sweet shot! I had to take a double look I couldn't believe it. SA
  11. Hey everyone!!! So, I'm taking a little time out of my life to do something nice for someone else and I'm looking for some help from those of you I've given so much of my life to. (Anyone feelin' guilty?) I'm doing this stair climb to the top of one of one of the tallest buildings west of the Mississippi! If any of you would like to donate some hard earned funds to my cause you can click here http://ymcastairclimb.kintera.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=235148&lis=1 . This will take you to the home page of the fundraiser, just look to the right hand side of the page and click on "Alfred Mesa". That'll take you to my page and you can donate online with a credit card, or you can click on the donation form that you can print up and mail out with a check. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps a brotha out! SA Edit: approved by HH~Skymama
  12. D'OH! Not to sound mean, but...why would you move out there?! SA
  13. At this point in the competition, I'm thinking Rock is going to take it. I think Julia is exceeding our expectations, but her level of fine dining mentality is not there. I agree that Bonnie is not strong enough to run a kitchen on her own nor is she seasoned enough. Rock seems to be the only logical person at this point. Josh would have to pull his head outta his ass to prove he could handle an entire kitchen on his own. Jen...just doesn't seem strong enough. SA
  14. Hey lawrocket, I'm always looking for cool stuff to do in the South Bay. I'm over here in Lawndale, so I'm close by. Throw some events at me! Btw, I love Fiesta Hermosa and the beer garden!!!! Hehe...skydiver who loves beer! Fancy that! SA
  15. Give them a call and see what the Hollywood Hills Hotel will run you. If it's still too much let me know. SA
  16. If you're looking for some place in the Hollywood, CA area, you can try The Magic Castle Hotel www.magiccastlehotel.com or The Hollywood Hills Hotel. The same company runs both locations. If you stay at the MC Hotel, they can make reservations for you to come into The Magic Castle (bring a suit!); stay at the HHH and you're within walking distance to Yamashiro Cal-Asian restaurant with a view that's amazing! Either way, you're just a block and a half from one of the busiest areas in Hollyood, "Hollywood & Highland". SA
  17. I saw everyone else I was sitting with...but not me. Bummer. SA
  18. TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT!!!! One of the people I work with said she saw herself and her husband ("Harry Potter") in the previews. SA
  19. CHERRY WHEAT!!! This is the best of the Sam Adams line that has been released to the public. Last year, I was lucky enough to do a little taste test between the Honey Porter and the Smokey Lager. Whichever one got the most votes was going to be featured in the 6 pack variety pack. Unfortunately, the Smokey Lager did not win. This beer was absolutely amazing! It's a BBQ drinking beer. The mesquite, smokey flavor had me craving a juicy steak. I'm hoping they release it at some point. Just amazing! SA
  20. Yeah, that's a pretty standard rider. When my girlfriend and I were working at The Staples Center I got to see some pretty funny stuff on those riders. She's got some stories that would make you laugh about some of the requests made by artists. Good times, good times. SA

    The Prestige

Pretty good movie. We were lucky enough to put Disney's wrap party together (and host it) at our facility so all the big wigs could come and party after the premier. We didn't have any stars from the movie, but there were quite a bit of props from the movie displayed. About 700 people; great night. SA
  22. I really don't think she has that much more up her sleeve. She doesn't impress me that much...kind of timid. And I'm thinking it's going to be next week's episode, since they're introducing a red and blue menu. I ended up eating off the red menu. Had the Oso Buco. SA
  23. Yeah, I beginning to think Melissa has developed a drinking problem or she's hearing voices all of a sudden. Maybe she's bipolar. She's gotten a little wack the past couple of episodes. I'm surprised he's giving her a second chance. SA
  24. hehe...nope, not me. Are you on the east coast? I'm still waiting for it to start up. (CA) SA
