  3. That is funny, i was going to say, One time at the ROTC party, but I didnt want it to sound like, One day, at band camp!
  4. You can buy it over the counter at any drug store-Me and my friends just wanted to see what would happened, and it works really really well- We did have to mark the bottle that had the Ipecac in it so we wouldnt drink it on accident-hahaha
  5. When I was in High School, senior year, we poured a bottle of Ipecac in the soda we brought to the ROTC senior party, everyone was puking-it was interesting-didnt get caught!
  6. Don't upgrade to Vista, you will be so sorry. I work in HSI support and people call me with Vista issues all day long
  7. “General M’butu had a strange affinity for country music, Colgate toothpaste, and eating ashtrays.”
  8. Hey! A master kills switch is a great idea! It is kind of amazing with all of this great technology that these brainiacs havent thought of that! Until that happens, a surge protector works pretty well. You can hook everything up to it and just hit the switch. They work great for modems and routers too!
  9. Hello there! I happen to work for a large cable company in San Diego. It is very possible to have your high speed internet working and your digital cable not working. If you have a cable box-you should undo the coax cable and unplug the box for at least one minute. then hook up the coax, then the power to the box. If after the box boots up and you still have no cable-I would call your cable company and let them know aqbout the problem-they can't fix it if they don't know about it! Good luck to you!
  10. I just got a question today at work, this guy asked me if skydivers were afraid to jump through clouds because they might drown!
  11. those are the cutest baby pics i have seen! from a skydivers perspective anyway...
  12. hey there! i was a lab tech for over twelve yrs. i would't worry about a wbc count that was only one cell over the norm. they are usually measured by the thousands. there are different normal ranges for different people. some can run a tad higher or a tad lower but still be in the what is considered normal range. i would be much more worried if the count was too low. that would mean that your body isn't doing its job. DON'T WORRY!
  13. adrenaline overdose! that is what makes you come back for more, isn't it?
  14. that is great! isn't that first solo after AFF the best? It was definitely the best jump I ever had, with that first tandem in a close second! congratulations!
  15. hey lisamariewillbe! i had the scary experience of flying through some clouds at Skydive San Diego once. It was very scary. I thought for sure i had drifted off course and was either going to get my legs sheared of by a plane or crash into someone. But I didnt know you could get a ticket for it. Who issues that kind of ticket? By the way, how are you doing?
  16. Does anyone know of a great dropzone in or around Cookeville, TN? I am moving from San Diego, CA and I am looking for a great DZ in Tennessee. I would sure appreciate any information anyone might have for me.
  17. a tandem jump isnt a carnival ride, is it? i thought the USPA was about safety and guidlines to keep all skydivers safe. i dont know...maybe im wrong..
  18. I am so glad you decided on Skydive San Diego! Great choice. I didnt think you would be disappointed. I did my first skydive there, it was a tandem. Then I was back the next weekend to start my AFF training. Finished it last year. The staff is just very busy there. Don't take it personal. Congratulations! Now don't waste any more money on tandem jumps, start yer AFF
  19. Good Luck Daniel, I hope you have some nice skydives up ahead for you. I am sure you will. I guess you just struck a nerve here.
  20. dear daniel- i broke my leg and had to have surgery to recontruct my ACL to top it off in february. it would be ridiculous to try and blame anyone for MY mistakes. even if the accident wasnt my own fault, I still got on a perfectly good plane and I VOLUNTARILY hurled myself out the door towards the ground. making me ultimately responsible for anything that could or might happen. your life is in your own hands. take the responsibility happily and just go do it. you wont regret it. Do You Trust Yourself? that is the question here. as the old saying goes: if at first you dont succeed, skydiving is not for you...
  21. Wow! your progression through AFF is awesome! I am totally impressed! Congratulations!
