  1. We had a deep fryer for just that. We used peanut oil. It tatse great, but after a while it is a pain. I mean how long do you store the oil in the pot? After you decide to toss it ... where? Its a lot of oil. So I prefer my turkey cooked that way, but I want someone else to do it, so I don't have to clean up. steveOrino

I can relate. Back in 1989 (Jimmy Johnson and Aikman's first year) we were 1-15. The only game we won was against the Redskins. steveOrino

  7. I agree....Steve1 Me too, but it so easy to blame "others" or "society" "westerners" "Christians" " Muslims" "Republicans" "Democrats" "Liberals" "Conservatives" ... you get my drift. steveOrino
  8. Yeah, sure. When people say the "west" they mean Mexico, El Salvador, Argentina, yeah, sure. I think "a few billion" narrowed it down. But again, this is SC stuff, as was his posting. steveOrino
  9. Sounds like SC stuff to me. But hey, it is in vogue to be anti US these days. steveOrino

  12. If I had a helmet entaglement, I'd cut the helmet first, then the main. ... I think. Good question. I'm sure some of the more experienced vidiots will weigh in. I'm interested in their thoughts. steveOrino
  13. When I lived in WA I rock climbed. Now that I live in OK, I don't. I'm not interested in rock gyms or 12' cliffs. steveOrino
  14. I'm not sure proud is the word I'd used to describe these highlights, but they are memorable moments. First jump (1977 in Army) D license PRO rating getting a check (video) for jumping! pinning my son's airborne wings on him I look forward to two things: a) having my wife pin my gold wings (1000th jump) soon. She pinned my military jump wings on me a looong time ago! b) becoming an AFF instructor one day steveOrino
  15. I miss riding my 93 Fat Boy with my buddies. Working at a DZ takes all your weekends. steveOrino
  16. Two nice shots of the GKs! The last one was pretty good too considering the subject you had to work with. steveOrino
  17. Cut the lines and hang in up at the DZ. It makes for a good illustration of a canopy and its various parts when you are teaching a FJC. steveOrino
  18. My thoughts, exactly. steveOrino
  19. Your historical view is correct, but the question was why do YOU celebrate CHRISTmas. Me? Whether it was a tradition of the early church or not, I believe it is a valid one. I celebrate Christ's humble arrival into our world! Merry CHRISTmas! steveOrino
  20. Well, I'm not from FL, but my first jump was 1977 and I'm 50 going on 51 so almost qualify. Welcome back! steveOrino
