I don't know.. I think jumping to the conclusion that she likes you 'that way' may be a bit rash. Maybe she does but I don't think you could pull that out from this situation. I think in the situation last night, it was a case of comforting presence more than anything. I think if she was that drunk and she did like you and was in the same bed as you, she would have tried to at least make some kind of move. I'm really really uncomfortable sharing beds with guys even if they're good friends because I hate it when guys get the wrong idea & think too much. If I have any sort of hint at all that they may like me, then I will run from this situation even faster. But I've been in both situations. Been drunk & hopped in a friend's bed even though I suspected that he liked me .. but I wanted the comforting presence - and the trust there because he was a good mate outweighed rational thinking.. nothing happened but in the morning I was a bit..errrr... And the second- got drunk & was with a really good friend I had been attracted to for ages.. ended up having to sleep in his bed but could not help but make a move. Actually this has happened twice. So please stop analyzing things more than they need to be.. you don't know what she was thinking.. you can speculate all you want but please don't get your hopes up. And in regards to the advice being given about asking her out.. well.. that's a whole other judgement call. It depends on how good friends you are etc.. And if she doesn't feel the same, you run the risk of ruining your friendship & tripping her out (whether she is overt about it or not, it will always play in her mind). Hope this helps!

I've looked up both flights and trains for the dates I need and because some of the train fares are sold out, they're costing the same at the moment... There are no overnight trains between Montreal and Toronto so having only 4 days there, its like wasting 10 hours of doing things time.... but GREYHOUND!!! What a good idea!!! I didn't even think of buses! I will look that up now!!! Thanks!!

I just know as a young adult that one of the reasons a lot of people my age get into drugs is because it's not allowed. And for most (speaking from still living in that zone) weed is enough to make them feel rebellious. I also know that if weed was legal, smoking it wouldn't be as thrilling for most of these people & they would move on to the next drug. So instead of smoking, they would just do speed or whatever.. I am not basing my opinion that it should remain illegal on any research or because I'm looking out for the greater good of mankind, it's completely for selfish personal reasons. It is because I know my group of friends and I would rather we stick at smoking as much as we do than move on to something harder. Perhaps it's immature, or childish that they would think this way but hey, that's how it is.

I don't know about it mellowing uptight, stress-heads.. I have so many friends who just get ultra-paranoid when they're stoned.. As for it being legalized.. I think people will always be lured towards what is forbidden. In terms of drugs, weed is the safest (in lack of a better word) forbidden drug. If you legalize it, people (the youth at least) will go to the next safest drug.. So you'll have more people on speed or e or whatever it might be - drugs way worse than weed.. so keep it illegal!

I assumed 11 would be big enough because the skydiving world is pretty small right.. so word gets around?? And I thought it would more likely be the guys who would sweettalk the girls.. so after 11, their reputation would precede them.. guess I'm wrong?! Also.. the whole dating a tandem/ student thing seems so bizarre to me! Maybe it's cos all my instructors, TMs are so much older, they don't hit on me - they just treat me like an overexcited kid.

Hahahahaha. With open arms. Up until 20 years ago the white australia policy still existed. Then, because the population is not growing rapidly enough and there are not enough people to do the dirty jobs, they had to expand their immigration policy. I think the media is the best reflection of the inherent sentiment of the country. Do you think white people don't bash other white people up? Do you think the Australian youth are so good that they don't get into fights? So why did this one incident get so much media coverage? Because the media picked up that the attackers were of a different race and jumped on that detail. Australia claims to be such a multicultual country. Why should it matter what backgroud the attackers were from when writing an objective news story? They are now Australian. Therefore shouldn't the story be simply about Australian youth attacking another Australian youth rather than emphasizing their racial background? I think the media has turned this one incident into a massive 'us' vs 'them' fight when it shouldn't have been. Maybe the motives of the attackers were racist - but the media is meant to report the facts, not speculation presented as the facts. The only way the media could know what their motives truly were would be if the attackers had overtly stated them or else they were proven in court- neither has happened. The fact that they jumped to this assumption and presented it as fact is just a reflection of the so-called "welcoming people from other countries with open arms" that you talk about. When the mentality of the people is so unwelcoming in a new place, it is hard to even know what the lifestyle of the country is let alone: There are so many immigrants in so called multicultural Australia. Look at TV - neighbours, home & away - everyone is white. The cricket team - everyone is bleached blond. The travel brochures - everyone is white. I am not saying every single person is the same but I think you are a bit deluded if you think Australia really 'welcomes people from different cultures with open arms'. I have been living there for 5 years- both in Perth & Sydney, could easily pass for middle-eastern or lebanese (though i'm not). Some of my best friends are Australian & I would not trade the years I have spent there for anything in the world. However, I think don't think this whole drama we're seeing now can simply be blamed on the guys of 'middle eastern descent'. Those that believe it are in denial.
