Hello. I am looking to buy a new canopy and am stuck between a fusion and a sabre 2. My weight is 190 (not exit weight) and plan to buy a 170. I have jumped the fusion 170 twice this weekend and really liked it. So what I wanted to know is: How is it different from a Sabre 2? Is there a quality difference? What my dog did though, and it might work for you, is just slightly cutting (my dog gnawed) the outer and inner layer of the cable and then bending it so that the outer wires separate and touch the inner wires. Depending on how many wires are separated and touching distortion will change. You can also put everything right by bending the cable straight again and unconnecting the outer wires from the inner ones. Maxtors are horrible external external hard drives. Use a LaCie, I have at least one running constanly (amongst other things I edit for a living) and have never had a problem with it. But then again if all you shoot is dv then DVD's might be an ok solution. Eventhough it might be time consuming to burn them, depending of course on how much data you have and generate. I also suppose that the best solution, eventhough expensive right now, will eventually be something like the P2 cards

Get a hard drive: a lacie . You will pay less than a dollar a gig but that way you will have all your stuff in a neat little package. Dont get dependent on transitions, they get to look cheesy after a while. Just look at normal films and see what, if any, transitions (besides fades and disolves) are being used. Hello, I am new to the sport and would like to know what harness and parachute should I buy. I do have some money so "new" would probably be where I would end up. There are though a few questions that I would like to know answers to: 1)7 or 9 cell, So far all I flew was 9, but I did have a reserve ride and I believe that was a seven and that flew and landed quiet nicely. 2) What container, from what I gather on the reviews all of them are more or less good. Is it Icon, Mirage, Infinity, Vector or etc. What should I get. 3) What make of parachute. PD or aerodyne or etc 4) Where should I get all this gear for the lowest price 5)And finally what are the chances of resale once I begin to downsize. About me I weigh about 185 without gear and hence would probaly end up getting a 190 or a 170 depending on how much experince I will have by the time it comes to ordering time.
