  1. They have a few CDs.. they are a great band!
  2. Green Man! Dude, so fucking awesome. I love It's Always Sunny. Such a great show that not enough people know about. Sweet!!
  3. You can't even check into a hotel, never mind renting a car.. LOL Would help you out buddy but I'm in RI. Tell you what, pay for me to come down to AZ and I'll rent us a car. Sound good?
  4. That jumper wouldn't be the same one that commented early on about his Cobalt 105, would it? I am a small jumper (130lbs) with 420 jumps in a little under 3 years, 4 canopy courses under my belt and not to mention hours and hours of one on one canopy coaching with swoopers at my DZ. All that said, my Sabre2 120 loaded at 1.27 is keeping me quite happy for the time being. I'd love to hear the reasoning behind being on a 97 Katana at that kind of experience level and currency.
  5. Here's a couple pics of my Wings rig that I just sold :( But I have a new W4 on the way! I friggin' love Wings rigs.. so comfortable and they look nice, too! http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k88/closeupcorey/DSC00501.jpg http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k88/closeupcorey/DSC00503.jpg
  6. Go to the doctor, man. I was living with what I thought was just a minor cold/chest congestion and it turned out that I was one step away from pneumonia. It was a serious case of bronchitis that almost landed me in the ER. Will never wait that long to go to the doctor again, that's for sure.. I'm finally better now, after a solid two weeks of misery.
  7. Well shit, even better! You're gonna be the cool, BASE jumping guy now! Who's getting laid? YOU are!
  8. Congrats, dude! Now that you hit 200, it's time to downsize to a Velo 75, that way you will be the cool guy with the smallest rig, too! Seriously though, good stuff. Keep on rockin'.
  9. Just wondering if anyone's tried putting a 120 into a Wings W4.. I'm looking at buying a used one but want to make sure it's not going to be too tight.
  10. Oh man. Glad you're OK. Tornadoes scare the shit out of me. I have nightmares about them!
  11. I'm having my rigger order the line set and having him do the install. My wingloading on the 120 is 1.27. Last time I jumped a Sabre2 135, it was a demo from PD and the brake lines were definitely not long enough for HP approaches. Not a whole lot of bucking, but it definitely wasn't as smooth as I like it.
  12. He should be put in jail and have his ears cut by a pair of fucking scissors. I can't stand when people abuse animals. I have 4 dogs and can't even imagine..
  13. Yup, that's the one. Here's a picture of Kat and I right after it got done. http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k88/closeupcorey/kat.jpg
  14. Yeah, I agree. I think people get used to short brake lines. I don't see why anyone with a HP canopy would want them, though.. unless they are in the corner a LOT and need to dig out of it quickly.
  15. I have a few others but this one is my favorite. Portrait of one of Harry Houdini's publicity photos from the early 1900's. It's on my right forearm. I'm retarded and can't figure out how to make pictures smaller, so check the link for a picture. http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k88/closeupcorey/houdini.jpg
  16. Hey guys. I just bought a used Sabre2 120 with a not-so-good line set on it. Lines themselves aren't in bad shape but they are way out of trim. The brake lines are definitely pretty short. I've only done a few jumps on it, mainly due to the condition of the lines and a recent case of bronchitis. As expected, the stall point was right at my waist and forget about even touching the fronts.. it bucks like a MF. Line set is going to be ordered next weekend, so I should be good to go pretty soon, but.. My question is: Are the factory brake setting on a Sabre2 generally long enough to where the canopy won't buck on a HP approach? I had to lengthen the brakes a good deal on my last canopy, which was a Pilot 150, so I was just curious if this is something I will have to do on the Sabre, as well. Thanks for any input, much appreciated.
  17. Definitely lots of variables to consider as far as general life of a canopy. What kinds of jumps, what kind of weather where you jump, where and how the canopy was packed and stored.. it all has an impact on how long a canopy will last for. It's hard to give a general answer.. Line sets are similar but it seems like a good rule of thumb is roughly 500 jumps. Line trim may be kind of shitty by the time 500 jumps comes around. There are also different types of lines that have longer/shorter life spans, as well.
  18. Being someone who has a reasonable background in cold-reading techniques and other various methods that 'psychics', mentalists and magicians alike use, I think it's a bunch of horse shit that any type of law enforcement would waste their time going along with it. It's understandable that they would want to follow and look into any leads that they come across, but there's got to be a line drawn somewhere. There is a phenomenon out there that has happened to a few people who believe that they are psychics. They start by getting a few simple things right, usually by the means of cold-reading while not even realizing that they are doing it, and it ends up confirming to themselves that they are indeed, psychics. Thus begins the shitshow... It's a very touchy subject. I am entertained when I watch people like Lisa Williams. She is good at what she does, but it sucks to see these people that believe in it, or I guess want to believe in it, so much.. it's kind of sad. The fact that some families are out there possibly getting there hopes up so high that Ms. Psychic Lady is going to find their missing child is a really unfortunate circumstance.
  19. I'd say all of the above..? I've used Aerodyne's and PD's and prefer PD's, but that's just me. For something that is so cheap I just don't see a reason to try building your own. Again, to each his own. Just my two cents.
  20. For $30.. I mean seriously. Just buy a real set of Slinks. But hey, to each his own I suppose.
  21. Jumptown doesn't do static line, unfortunately. I don't know if anyone in the Boston area does, actually.
  22. I couldn't tell you the difference but I like the black and yellow one a lot
  23. I remember a friend (who has a Spire) telling me that they stopped making them. I believe it was due to costs or something, but that is totally speculation. Used ones pop up once in a while in the Classifieds sections.
