  1. Everyone knows trump can't resist national TV, a chance to shoot his yapper off AND insult Biden at the same time. He'd show.
  2. CNN is reporting that he is in quarantine now, awaiting testing. Nobody was notified by the WH that Hope was infected and they knew about it yesterday. Nobody on AF one, no contact tracing whatsoever. I guess you get what you deserve if you want to associate with trump. i.e. you're on your own. This about the fourth close contact with trump regarding covid yet god has still not sown any favors on America.
  3. His followers are already stepping up but you won't hear anything but encouragement from the WH. "Two right-wing political operatives were charged Thursday with a series of felonies in connection with a robocall scheme that Michigan’s attorney general said was part of a broad effort intended to intimidate minority voters from casting mail-in ballots. The operatives, Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl, made automated calls to around 12,000 Michigan residents in August, warning them that their personal information from mail-in ballots could be used to execute outstanding arrest warrants or by credit card companies to collect unpaid debts, the authorities said." The two charged are typical trump supporters " Mr. Burkman, who is well known for peddling right-wing conspiracy theories and who has tried to smear public figures that included the special counsel Robert S. Mueller III with fabricated sexual misconduct allegations, did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Efforts to reach Mr. Wohl, who has contributed to The Gateway Pundit, a right-wing news site, were unsuccessful. Mr. Wohl’s Twitter account was suspended. Mr. Wohl was charged last month with a felony in California related to the sale of a security, according to court documents." Perhaps best in the Banana Republic thread, but....
  4. I hate to ruin a good debate but trump has already decided the abortion debate. 'Judge Amy Coney Barrett, President Trump’s nominee to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat on the Supreme Court, signed a newspaper ad in 2006 that supported overturning Roe v. Wade, the landmark decision establishing the right to abortion. The ad, which ran across two pages in The South Bend Tribune and was first reported by The Guardian on Thursday, quoted Justice Byron White’s dissent in Roe v. Wade, and called the decision “an exercise of raw judicial power” and urged overturning its “barbaric legacy.”
  5. Imagine a trump supporting (over $1 million) anti environment individual and his corporation declaring bankruptcy. Then filing for benefits himself. Too bad that he didn't save that $1 donations to the GOP to pay for his own black lung treatment. But that would be anti- republican because it would involve personal responsibility.
  6. It seems as if trump, GOP and his inner circle of criminals who like to use religion as a political tool have been told to pound sand by the Pope. Oh well there must be some evangelicals around or bible toting photo ops that will work as well for his base.
  7. trump recognizes a good scam when he sees one and evangelicals know the devil will protect them once their souls get traded away. "A new report from The New York Times citing Trump’s tax information alleges the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) paid nearly $400,000 to the president’s Washington hotel in 2017, raising questions about the potential conflicts of interest in making money off his religious allies while in office. The Times reported that the BGEA paid the Trump International Hotel at least $397,602 in 2017, noting that the group held an event there that year during its World Summit in Defense of Persecuted Christians."
  8. Especially in fire prone areas.
  9. While I agree with Trigirl and this, a more practical solution would be a hockey style penalty. Two minutes in the quiet box, i.e. mike is cut off for two minutes giving the other party the opportunity to talk about anything.
  10. Is the Putin loving one who laughs at the religiously inclined trump. Or is the racist fascist Nazi thug trump?
  11. Ditto and agree. On a major US news channel prior to the debate a interviewer went to talk to a group of farmers. Without exception they cheered the China tariff battle because trump paid them enormous subsidies. As such he proved he lived up to his "promises". They could have mixed chants of "me" with "trump" and delivered an effective election chant.
  12. Very close. trump made a statement for his supporters to "standby" President Trump Was Asked to Condemn White Supremacists. He Gave Them 'a Huge Win' Instead Above from Time Magazine.today. Coronavirus: Chinese economy bounces back into growth. BBC China’s Economy Is Bouncing Back—And Gaining Ground on the U.S.. Wall Street Journal The rest of the world understands how the US dropped seven places in global competitiveness in the last three years.
  13. I like the concept that they have Ivanka in the fraud and tax evasion scheme for at least $747,622. Certainly wouldn't want her to miss out on the family's 10-30 year visit to Rikers Island.
  14. Psychology Reveals the Comforts of the Apocalypse "The initial response to any hint of alarm is fear. This is the architecture with which we’re built," Lissek says. Over evolutionary history, organisms with a better-safe-than-sorry approach survive.... Doomsday preppers who assemble their bunker and canned food, Lissek believes, are engaged in goal-oriented behaviors, which are a proven therapy in times of trouble....certain apocalyptic beliefs are also at the heart of conspiracy theories—for example, the belief that government agencies know about an impending disaster and are intentionally hiding this fact to prevent panic.... "One trait I see linking the two is the feeling of powerlessness, often connected to a mistrust in authority," Douglas says. Among conspiracy theorists, these convictions of mistrust and impotence make their conspiracies more precious—and real. "People feel like they have knowledge that others do not." In today's complicated world with terrorism, war, fiscal cliffs and climate change, people are primed for panic."All of this uncertainty and all of this fear comes together and people think maybe life would be better" after a disaster,' With a President whose M.O. is fear, who ignores the catastrophe of global warming. This is the natural outcome.
  15. Professor Richardson missed the point whereby after searching America for three years trump has found the ultimate apparatchik enabler, Barr. From the story and further to Mary Trump's action for fraud against trump: "A piece from Michael Kranish at the Washington Post today reinforced the New York Times story. Apparently, when he was on the verge of personal bankruptcy in the 1990s, Trump tried to trick his 85-year-old father, who was sliding into dementia, into signing a codicil to his will that would cheat Trump’s siblings out of their inheritance and give Trump control of his father’s entire estate. Trump’s mother stopped her husband from signing it."
  16. Lets discuss how those who profess to love America and be "centrists". Refuse to hold to account those who lie, cheat on their taxes and use their elected positions to refuse judicial orders.
  17. For all the claims of "fake news" from trump not a word about suing the NYT from the most litigious American in history. trump is a criminal but not completely stupid. Barr should be doing the work of the American people tomorrow....looking under every cabinet and dresser in the WH for the "leaker"!
  18. The harm has been exposed before and the pattern well known. Tax Fraud By The Numbers: The Trump Timeline The above is a simple explanation by the CPA to educate its members. Naturally professional organizations pick the best examples.
  19. What is of primary importance is that lenders, i.e. banks don't lend to money losing companies. Yet trump has been able to borrow unhindered over the last couple decades. So trump has either lied to his lenders or has lied on the tax returns for his corporations and himself. Its not rocket science. The NYAG has Eric on the hook for those exact circumstances now: Judge orders Trump Organization to court for fight over NY attorney general subpoenas eyeing asset values Hopefully Rikers Island has enough vacancies for the trump crime dynasty. Its title as a home for the boldest certainly fits trump.
  20. "Donald J. Trump paid $750 in federal income taxes the year he won the presidency. In his first year in the White House, he paid another $750. He had paid no income taxes at all in 10 of the previous 15 years — largely because he reported losing much more money than he made." Tax avoidance is legal. With a little digging tax fraud is the issue that results in jail time. "As the president wages a re-election campaign that polls say he is in danger of losing, his finances are under stress, beset by losses and hundreds of millions of dollars in debt coming due that he has personally guaranteed. Also hanging over him is a decade-long audit battle with the Internal Revenue Service over the legitimacy of a $72.9 million tax refund that he claimed, and received, after declaring huge losses. An adverse ruling could cost him more than $100 million."
  21. FIFY 14 of Trump's most outrageous 'birther' claims -- half from after 2011 One has to be careful about feeding the trolls. But at least Brent seldom weasels.
  22. Come-on don't do a weasel. Provide the quote whereby Obama enabled that narrative or directly refused to answer a question about his endorsement of such fabrications.
