  1. Just landed in Seoul. 9 hours to go on a layover. Yawn. May check out the hourly transit hotel. And no, that's not the same thing as a hotel that rents rooms by the hour. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  2. Chances are, I'll fly over where you live. :) _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."

  5. Twitter is Microblogging. It's the ability to update people to whom you matter when you're doing something that matters. It's wonderfully self-policing, in that if you become uninteresting, people can "not" follow you anymore. Best way to describe it is by saying that it's like blogging, but compact, and doable from anywhere. It attempts to answer the question "What are you doing right now." I'm a heavy Twitter user for what I do for a living - my user name is Skydiver - I got it first. :) You can find me at www.twitter.com/skydiver - I've got something like 21,000 followers, which is relatively insane. But in a good way. Hope that helps! PS: It's also in interruptive technology, in that it can come to your cell phone, email, IM, however you prefer to get it, instead of having to go to it, like Facebook or LinkedIn. _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" 8. As a thank you to a few acts of Good Karma I performed, I was invited to hang out with the two pilots who pilot the 747 that flies the shuttle back as well as their families these past two days near Houston. I was there to do a speaking gig, and hung out with them after. While there, I met Dr. Nick Patrick, Steve Nagel, got to play in the Mockup of the Shuttle, crawl around a T-38, and in general, just have an amazing, life-altering time. It was truly a special 24 hours. I thought you'd want to see photos and video - www.shankman.com - Also, photos attached below. This Geek was in heaven. :D Apparently, though, none of the photos I want to upload here are small enough. So here's the link to the Facebook photo album... http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=70237&l=09b0f&id=703291673 _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" 9. How sad that my first thought was "wait, that's a reserve!" _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  10. Hey NZ'ers... Trying to figure out if I should accept an ad for blankets made from the fur of the Australian Brushtail possum - I'm leaning very, very heavily towards no, as fur goes against my morals. Person who I'm talking to is trying to explain to me that the Australian Brushtail possum is apparently wreaking havoc on NZ, and that it's a species with no known enemies, so humanely killing it like this is actually good for the people. Like I said, I've pretty much made up my mind, but I promised the person I'd ask around and get other opinions. So, if anyone from NZ knows more about this than me, I'd love your thoughts. And no, I don't need this to turn into a fur vs. non-fur debate, thanks. I know where I stand on that and am very comfortable with my decision - I just promised this person I'd get more than just my opinion, and the best place I know of to find people from NZ is on DZ. Thanks! _______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
  11. He's fine, he's fine. :) Busy as hell. Happy New Year, my friend. :) Yes, I hate Krisanne. But I've gotten over it. Yes, I miss jumping, but I'm getting on that. Sadly, my travel nightmare schedule starts on Tuesday. After that, I'm gone about once a week or more until April. But on the plus side, I'm going a lot of places and can meet a lot of y'all. Houston on Tuesday, for instance. :) So hi.
