  1. Well only 43 days left until it starts. Who all is going to make the trip this year? This will be my first time going to Couchfreaks. I'm pretty excited. Couchfreaks "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  2. Nick, thanks man. I had a blast last time with Rosa and you. Is this place a dive? "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  3. 3 friends and I are headed out to the LA area in early August. We're trying to find a decent hotel that's relatively close (within walking distance or short cab ride) to some night life (bars, etc). I've been doing some searching on Priceline but then I have to call the hotel and ask if they are close to any good bars etc. This is taking forever, can anyone suggest any places? We're trying to find rooms around $100 a night. We don't care if they are a little trashy as we don't plan to be staying in them for long. Thanks "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  4. So Phree is that actually a printed label then stuck onto the DVD or is that image burned directly onto the DVD? "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  5. Dang that looks nice. So (clarity needed for me), that picture there is it a label on the DVD that the company does or is that actually burned onto the DVD by the company? Thanks "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  6. We currently do Option 2, but I'm thinking about trying to start doing Option 3 and was wondering if anyone was doing something like this. In case Option 3 isn't clear, here's what I mean. When you get a new music CD (if you still buy them) the CD has artwork directly printed on the CD. I think it looks nice and was thinking it would be a small step-up and the workmanship of the product. If anyone is doing this what product are you using? 7. 0:24:Lots Great weekend. 20 jumps at the Redemption Boogie which was great. I left mid day on Saturday and headed home to help a friend finish his A license on Sunday. 8. Don't forget to consider what size of reserve it holds. It says online that it'll hold a 160 reserve. Do you feel comfortable flying a canopy that is 30 feet smaller when you are amped up and going to reserve? Not saying you shouldn't, just make sure you consider it. 9. Welcome to the boards! Well where are you located? "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  10. Actually I was advised against this by the person I spoke to at PD. Not saying what's right or wrong, just repeating what I was told. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  11. Make sure the slider is evenly quartered. make sure the slider is pushed all the way to the top, make sure when you are rolling the tail you don't get the nose caught in the roll. Those were the big ones. Again I suggest you call them because they can answer more specific questions. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 12. Newbie- I was having the same problems on my Sabre 2 170, other than that I loved the canopy. I called PD to get a Sabre 2 150 demo and asked about my brisk openings. Kim (in the demo department) gave me some packing tips. I've tried them and the openings are much better and on heading. The big one was don't tuck the nose or roll it. Give them a call and ask for suggestions. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 13. 0:21:0 Good weekend, I'm beat. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  14. Yeah I saw that preview. It looks good. We'll find out when the movie debuts on 1-18-08 "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  15. More importantly, do you have coconut bra's and grass skirts yet? No I don't. What night do i need them for and what's the reason? "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  16. Well one week left and counting! Have prices been set for jump tickets yet? "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  17. I am , but since I'm going to work a half day today I get to leave early on Friday and go jumping so it works out
  18. I use the same lens kit, but don't understand what you are saying with rubber bands and such. Can you please post a picture of your lens set-up? I realize this may not be possible unless you have more than one camera. Thanks "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  19. Stowbands are great for this, especially tandem stow bands. [edit; erik beat me to the comment] For big lenses, the balloons clowns make sculptures with are terrific, they can be tied around even the largest glass. DSE and Phree I'm new to the game of jumping stills, but I use gaffers tape because that's how everyone at my dz do it (there's only 4 or 5 who jump stills). Can you post a picture of the tube stows or rubber bands being used to hold the focal length down? Thanks, learn something new everyday. 20. I'm 100% sure this isn't a repost. The boyfriend of a friend of mine made this. You'll either think it's really funny or really stupid. If you like Chipotle you'll love this video. 21. I don't regret either of mine. I got the first one when I was 15 or 16 and the 2nd one when I was 17. I've been wanting to get another one for several years now, but haven't sat down with an artist and explained what I want. I'm a horrible drawer so there is no chance I'd draw it myself. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  22. Saw it last night. I thought it was pretty dang good. I was upset (NOT A SPOILER) that Bumblebee was a Camaro and not a Beetle. Overall good movie and I'm looking forward to the next one. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  23. I'm very glad to hear this. I got invited to a sneak peak tonight. My friends are mad because it doesn't come out over here until next week. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  24. I don't tip for carryout, but I do tip delivery drivers as well as waitresses. I've got one place I go every Wednesday night with three other friends. We've been going for about 40 weeks straight. We get the same waitress every time. She asks if we want the usual, we nod and she nails the order. She even remembers which two of us don't want pickles in the basket. 14 wings each and a side of fries. The bill comes to about $7 each. We each toss in $10 and call it good. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  25. 0:13:1 Great weekend for the most part. 7 tandem videos 2 coach jumps 2 CRW attempts 2 AFF practice jumps Sunday turned out to be a rough day as I woke up with a little congestion. By the 5th jump I decided to call it a day due to the ears getting worse. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience.
