  1. Thanks a ton. I may look for another one because that got butchered on the reviews, but that's exactly what I'm looking for!!! 2. Nope it's not a dead pixel. I just think it's like a lint particle on the inside of the protective screen. I'm thinking about just taking it into a Mac store. I don't want to send it back unless I have to because I've already downloaded a ton of stuff on there. Oh well I guess I could just use the Time Machine and back everything up to an external... 3. Thanks for the help guys. I went out and picked one out and guess what...it worked just like it was suppose to. It was sooooo much easier than when I did it with my PC.
  4. I restarted it and that didn't work. The dock is currently using the USB connection. You think the firewire connection will work? I guess I need to go buy some firewire. Anything particular I'm looking for? "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 5. AND I LOVE IT!!!! Sorry but I'm excited. This thing is amazing. One small issue though. In the center of the screen about an inch from the top there is a small (almost looks like a small hair follicle). It's not a scratch on the protective surface and it's not on the screen part itself. It almost looks like it's on the backside of the protective screen. Should I send it back? I could turn it off and maybe give it a little shake (kind of like an etch a sketch) and see if it comes down. Suggestions? This thing is awesome. 6. I just got my Mac and am loving it. I'm trying to download video and am having an issue. I have an HC42 (with the docking station). The camera is plugged into the computer and is on. I open iMovie but can't get the computer to find a camera. Do I need to install software on the Mac to get it to recognize it? I've lost the manual and disc, that or they are packed deep away somewhere Any help would be greatly appreciated. 8. That's a lot of pennies for that set-up. I'm sure you'll love it though. I love mine and I don't even have it yet :) "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  9. Yeah I have thought about wall mounting, but the darn thing is so slim I don't think I'll mind having it on my desk. We'll see, either way...I'M EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10. Well I really wanted a laptop (I've never had one) but after looking at the prices (plus I don't travel that much) I decided to get a desktop. I can get a better overall machine for a lot less money. I ordered the 24" with the 2.8 processor. 2 gigs of memory and a 500gb hard drive come standard. The only upgrades I did was a wireless keyboard and mouse. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 11. Well I just placed the order!!! My new Mac will be here in about a week!!! I'm super excited, this is my Mac. I do have a feeling that a 24" monitor will be much bigger than I anticipated. My current one is a 15". "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  12. Well it's happening! As some who read prior my PC crapped out about a month ago. I hadn't backed up anything in a long time so I've lost a lot, I won't make that same mistake again. Here are a few of my questions. The pictures I still have backed up can I just dump those right onto my Mac? Also I lost all my music from the computer I never backed it up. The good news is I still have my iPod and it has all my songs. Can I dump songs from my iPod which is set-up for a Mac, then reformat the iPod then put the songs back on the iPod? Thanks for any help. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  13. Thanks. Right now I'm looking at getting the 24" Mac with 2.8 processor. The only upgrades I'm doing is going with 2GB of ram. Everything else is standard. Should be a fun little machine for editing and what not. Thoughts? "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 14. Thanks Shepp. I actually qualify for one since I work for a university, but I didn't know if they ever had any other offers. 15. I'm making the change to a Mac. Does Apple ever have sales on Macs like Dell and the PC groups do? If so I may wait, if not I'm ordering in the next few days. 16. Dave- I'm not saying your wrong but I believe there has been a case where someone with a ton of tunnel time but not quite enough FF time had a wavier approved by the USPA to receive his AFFI. I could look more into it if needed. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 17. I took ASL for 2 years in college and had a blast. I'm no expert in the area so take my information at that. In ASL the sentence structure goes Time, Object, Subject, Verb. So there's no real need for; the or a, etc. Or(s) and and(s) are used when needed. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 18. Thanks. Do you have any idea if that will wipe the drive? I'm trying to do this without losing files if at all possible. Thanks again "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
  19. Well I've been wanting to get a Mac but I hope I don't need to yet. My computer flashed the BSOD last night. The error it states is UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME. I've tried to start it in Safe Mode and got the BSOD again. I tried to start it in Last Known Working Configuration and got the BSOD again. Any ideas or is my stuff gone? I've been meaning to make a back up but haven't in a while "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. 20. Wow maybe it's just me but that was really weak. Nothing overly scary or that couldn't have been staged. Weaksauce. "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience up before your bag of luck runs out."
