  1. The gut told me they were working on an automatic pilot, at least for the exits because of the instability at first. He wouldn't let me fly it though, the bastard Tristan Will you answer "NO" to my next question?
  2. Since you've taken his name I would say your b1tch pulls the strings in this relationship Tristan Will you answer "NO" to my next question?
  3. Oh man, I'm just back from russia. have been partying in Moskow a few more days. I'm so in a post boogie high it's not even funny. I don't want to get all mushy and stuff but this has been a life changing experience. Seeing a lot of friends again and gaining even more. Thanks to everyone there! I love you guys!!! 4. Ah, welcome to the club. I lost only 2 teeth (eating a bar of chocolate) but it's taking me one and a half years to fix I suggest you come up with a better story because you'll be telling it a lot. I usually use the flying next to the airplane and getting into the burble of the wing and hitting the tail story which seems to work for me. good luck! 5. Ah, thanks riggerrob. This idea was actually suggested by someone that used to work at pdf. But he also wasn't sure of it. Thanks for the scary story! I really don't think a smaller reserve would help. It's not that the big reserve is pushing the riser cover open. It's more that by movement the flap creeps out of the pocket. Another idea was to remove the flaps and put on the older kind of atom tug flaps instead. These older kind should not bend back and try to free itself from the pocket. I hope you understand what I'm talking about, it's hard to describe. I'm pretty desperate now. My old Invader was more freefly proof than this one. But there the leg straps would not stay tight. I'm afraid I can't resell this rig either. I'm pretty much done buying second hand skydiving gear. Tristan Will you answer "NO" to my next question?
  6. Hi, I am having trouble with my riser covers getting loose on my atom. New stiffeners did not help. The reserve is slightly too large but I don't see how a smaller reserve would solve the problem in my case and it is hard to find a cheap one. It is mainly the left riser cover because the cable/cable housing connecting the 3 rings is pulling the riser to the side. I have now routed the cable housing round the other side so the riser is pulled to the inside. The cable housing is now going directly under the reserve risers. This seems like a good solution. What do you experienced riggers think of this? Thanks, Tristan Tristan Will you answer "NO" to my next question?

  8. Hear this, hear this!! This just in from reliable sources: McCordia (our well known and beloved forum spammer) has finally acquired the status of BMI for the lowlands from BirdMan guru Jari himself!!!
  9. I can't seem to reach Aeroprize anymore. I really want to know if I'm getting a visa and hotel reservation. Tristan Will you answer "NO" to my next question?
  10. Another amazing long weekend! We could see the Matterhorn from the airplane and we even flew past Lauterbrunnen
  11. What? Imola?! I thought we were going to the Monza track!?! That's why you were nowhere to find... Tristan Will you answer "NO" to my next question?
  12. fab777, I think the V1 was actually giving you lower airspeeds, so a longer snivel should be appropriate. The skyfliers and V1 have air going between the leg wing and back deflector. I assumed that was to reduce the burble/vacuum above the leg wing so you could deploy in full flight. Tristan Will you answer "NO" to my next question?
  13. Everyone! Lets rip the deflectors of our S3 and S3S's!!! Seriously, the first one to do it and post a picture gets a crate of beer from me! Tristan Will you answer "NO" to my next question?
  14. I was also having one of my more brilliant ideas. What if you remove some of the stitching on the S3 front deflectors so you are combining two of the smaller arcs into one bigger arc. You will end up with 4 big arcs (and a small bit) instead of 9 small arcs. They will then look like the S3S front deflectors which apparently are better... 15. Sorry for the thread wondering, Congrats Lee and I hope to jump with you some day Tristan Will you answer "NO" to my next question?
  16. At least I didn't do it twice Tristan Will you answer "NO" to my next question?
  17. As if they were now Jarno is teaching people to fly. His lessons include: - How to do extreme low and close proximity flybys without them knowing it. - How to cut away your wings with a hookknife when encountered with a twist. - What to tell the DZO when you've landed on the other side of the river again. -any more? 18. Thank you very much for the reply Robert! However, it still doesn't fully answer my question. But you don't have any wind the first few seconds that might use the wingprofile to generate lift. right? + Is there still vibration when you are flying the suit efficiently? Thanks Tristan Will you answer "NO" to my next question?
  19. so he had no instructions at all for his first flight? Isn't that a bit irresponsible, even if he had 500 jumps? Tristan Will you answer "NO" to my next question?
  20. so why did he choose you? I'm confused... Tristan Will you answer "NO" to my next question?
  21. Well done Zoter! It looks like you're flying the phantom very nicely already! So Jarno, Are you finally a BMI? Tristan Will you answer "NO" to my next question?
  22. Stop the complements, please, you're making me blush I just ask the questions because I want to know! Tristan Will you answer "NO" to my next question?
  23. Yea, but what do they know seriously, I think I understand. You mean deformations like these(see drawing) of the bottom surface. Tristan Will you answer "NO" to my next question?
  24. I do not agree. Cross-braced technology is very different. The ribs are there to keep the topskin from a certain distance to the bottom skin. a non rigid rib will do the same job as a rigid rib and generate the same airfoil shape. Tristan Will you answer "NO" to my next question?
  25. For your information I was flying "shoddy" because the suit was crap And I had 3(three) jumps on the S3S!!! Tristan Will you answer "NO" to my next question?
