:2:0 Had two great jumps at Westpoint. One 3 point 10 way with the Queen and another jumper "Sue" I think, who was celebrating her 500th jump and her Birf-Day. By the way it was my Birf-Day tooo. :5:2 Beer-able events 200th Jump, 1st High Pull My 200th was a great jump!! We built a 12 way Texas Star. 11 of us made it in. I was the last out and that in and of itself was fun watching it build. The jump was organized by Kirk V. from Airspeed who was organizing that day. Im still on a high about it. Thanks everyone that was on it. A nice range of different skill levels. I went to AerOhio because I was home for the weekend and wanted to jump. I had never been there before. Everyone there is cool, and the DZO personally welcomed me and hooked me up with some R/W guys. They too were very friendly and welcoming. The drive from Cleveland is 35 minutes. It is in farmland with LOTS of outs. I was travelling light and didn't bring a helmet, I intended to rent one and the DZO was kind enough to let me borrow one. I met some nice guys doing R/W and we made about three jumps. The spots were all good with no problems making it back even when I burned up 1,000 feet looking for the DZ in the wrong direction. The landing area is soooo big that if you land far out they will come and get you in the DZ golf cart. The jumpship is a Caravan which is plenty roomy and just slow enough to let you really get acquainted with the local jumpers on the way up. Everyone wanted to chit-chat and introduce themselves. I'm glad that I went, and will go back again and again. The only reason I did not give the DZ all 5's is because I don't particularly like porta John's but that wont stop me from going back. They even have a little place for kids to play,...nice touch.

I was at the Pelt Head Boogie in PA. The DZ had a CASA that day so that was cool. I think there normal jump ship is a King Air. They are nice and friendly folks there. The pacers are good and FAST. I kinda landed into a mound (small rise) it was hard to detect from the air but the fact that on a busy day no one else was landing there should have been a hint. I'll definitely go back.

I was there almost two years ago now and I STILL remember the wonderful views of the Gulf and of Cozumel. Flying over the beach was a kick too. It's a small DZ so you can't just walk up and manifest but the DZO is great and an all around nice guy. The jump numbers required have changed since I went but if your a "D" License holder it's worth taking your rig.
