I went over to the DZ I pass it twice a week so I decided to go and check it out, because I had my gear with me. It was a light day as far as I could tell. So I looked around and a few things just bothered me. When I asked where the DZ map was one employee looked at me like I was speaking another language and then I was told by another to pull it up on my phone. The Bill Booth video was playing on a screen hanging from the wall but no one was watching it or even concerned that it was playing. I guess mostly I just didn't like that fact that I was clearly looking for a kinda DZ orientation but no one working there cared. This is not anywhere where I would go to jump which is too bad because I go past it all the time. In all fairness this might not be a DZ geared to fun jumpers. I gave services a 3 because I cannot really comment on them because I didn't use them.

Hi, anyone living in Vernal or know of it that can tell me a little about it? My niece is moving there with her husband. They are young and young, with a growing family. They are relocating from ATL because that is where her husband found work. I just want to be help prepare them for what to expect. I went to STF on a Sunday morning. Got there a lil after 8. Immediately the DZO welcomed me to the drop zone.(I didn't know it was the DZO) I got a good orientation and it was off to dirt dive an 8 way. The otter was fast and the people were nice. $5 pack jobs to boot and I was feeling fine...! I usually buy a patch to add to my collection; well they GAVE me one...

I visited Skydive Carolina right around the 4th of July. I really enjoyed it. The landing area is huge and the staff is very nice. After a good orientation I got together with some belly flyers and made some nice jumps.

I went to Canton Airsports to get a couple of jumps. I met a friend there that I had not seen in almost 30 years. They were great to us. After a conversation with the TM he let me swoop and dock on he and my friend, that was awesome. The DZ LZ is HUGE and with nice views from altitude and to top it all off they had FastTrax's Caravan there. Woo Hoo. Check them out you will not be sorry.

Ladies and Gentlemen may I have your attention please! Introducing: One Black Skydiver,.....Nate!!!! Please hold your applause. He has been in the sport just a lil while about 5 years and jumped in about 30 places and has wondered within himself where are all the other black skydivers. When asked about it he says: "I hear about other black skydivers but never see them". In all honestly though I do know six other black skydivers, but one of them is my wife. I have tried and tried to get my friends to come out and jump but no luck. In fact if I had a million dollars for everytime one of my friends said they were gonna come jump, and actually did, I'd be broke!! I love skydiving so even if none of my family(except the wife), friends, co-workers etc.... will jump thats their loss. I'd be happy to show up at any DZ as long as I can get there. So then some of you all can jump with a black guy, but then you would owe beer. Maybe we could build a boogie around it. Anyway I'll be making an appearance at Sky's the Limit this weekend, Sunday weather permitting. If not Sunday sometime next week. I'd love to meet anyone who wants to touch me... PS.
