  1. No additional info/reviews on the JFX ? There must be some on the DZ by now?
  2. Parachute de France as a commercial entity doesn't exist anymore, they have been merged in the Aerazur structure, whose adress has been given by Fish...
  3. AAD have prevented a whole lot of people to become fatalities and could have saved a lot of other....
  4. I think it's a dangerous bet. If anything is wrong with your brake lines (misrigged, damaged, tension knot) you'll discover it at the last possible moment, transforming a minor incident in a possibly dangerous situtation. Plus, your canopy may fly better with released brakes and rear input... YMMV....
  5. it has existed, but is no longer available for purchase since it's not certified under QAC121 (french airworthiness certification) or TSO23D. Basically it's simply not certified at all (from Techno user manual). For example it's not usable neither in France nor in the US. I don't know for the rest of the world....
  6. AFAIK, there is no such thing as a 140 Techno. The only available Techno are 128 and 155.
  7. I was just pulling your leg, and recalling our results in latest confrontation with Airspeed and GK... No harm intended.
  8. Damn, I can't remenber, where's Excalibur right now?
  9. yeah sure, but I think Luigi and Jonathan can pull off anything with any canopy, I dont think you can conclude anything from their example....
  10. AFAIK, it's not that simple. The Velocity is a 7 cell crossbraced canopy, and from what I hear is not ideal for camera work and even less for Wingsuit.....
  11. If the JFX dives as much or even more than the JVX, and both are very nice opening canopies, what makes the JFX a more suitable canopy for videos or Wingsuit than the JVX ?
  12. Mostly by collapsing the nose. They re-open almost instantly when you release the riser (my Nano does at least), but it is scary so close to the ground. So on a a speedriding wing, it's better to leave the nose alone...
  13. why would it cost less or use less material than a JVX ? They're both fully crossbraced canopies ?
  14. It seems to be very much in the same market segement as the Crossfire and the Neos ??
  15. 150 jumps is the limit when you can get training on entry-level WS such as the Prodigy or Access. From there you must make 40 jumps on these WS before going to more advanced models.
  16. It is possible to request a brand new HMA Sabre 2 or a replacement lineset, I asked the question to PD 3 weeks ago. I dont think HMA 300 is used much except maybe on Velocity Comp, for durability reasons. Katana for example is lined with 650 ou 500 HMA depending on the size. today's canopies do not rely much on line elasticity to soften opening, otherwise all canopies would be lined with Dacron. And some of the softest opening canopies, like the crossfire, are Vectran-lined which has very little elasticity.
  17. Yeah, I guess it must be strange coming from the US. But all of these items are expected on a CV, except maybe the photo which is negociable (I never had one on my cv). But since you are good looking it may be a plus even if it's for bad reasons... The rest is only meant explain a little bit who you are as persons and how you may fit in the company. We have a weird fetish with degree too. It's not uncommon to hear that a company has prefered a person with a more prestigious degree to a person with real experience and achievement. Where are you in France? Paris?
  18. Personnally, I think this title of this thread should be changed (by moderators if need be), it is clearly established that Basik are certainly not fraudsters They are well known in France by going the extra mile for their customers. That doesn't prevent from mistake like all businesses, but to call them fraudsters is unwarranted....
  19. is it possible to know why? excuse me if it's been already discussed....
  20. Happened to a lady friend of mine with a brand new Javelin, same error: packed under reserve risers, even though there is a warning label. The two covers remained in place, she was in an awkward position, she cut away, but everything stayed in place. By chance she landed that way (she wasn't very heavy. They were able to reproduce the incident on the ground. scary.....
  21. In France, minimum pull height is 2800 feet.... So 2500 seems low especially for your experience level.
  22. It's funny how when you get more and more experience, wtih hundred then thousands of jumps, you tend to become "reactionary and over zealous". What funny is these words are most often employed by people trying to get approval for apparently unappropriate canopies.... Must be a coincidence, can't see another reason...
  23. Hello, I have a zero, I used to have a Sabre 2 150 into it. Now I have a Xfire 139. I think that a Sabre 2 135 is the smallest you can go, I you should go with a loop set on the bottom flap to get a tighter fit.....
