  1. A perfect example of piss-poor reading comprehension. A perfect example of a personal attack.
  2. No, you are trying to dodge. He said it "did not change" but them mentioned it went up in price. Going up in price is a change. Unless it hurts your political position I guess.
  3. So you only listed bad republicans and good dems.... Yep, no bias there. How about you list the all Dems that did not serve and all the R's that did as well? Or would that not fit your agenda?
  4. Yes, because sticking to the Constitution and being fiscally responsible is *so* extreme and out there.
  5. Maybe they will die out? But I can't see a social conservative joining a progressive liberal party.
  6. Wouldn't that be an example of playing the player and not the ball?
  7. Ah, how cute....Look personal attacks..... That the best you have? You either were wrong or lied when you said it didn't change. Which was it?
  8. Really? Over gun nonsense? Over stepping on the 'peons' rights. Some people take ALL of the BoR's seriously. You do not seem to be one of them, she clearly is not one of them. And she is hypocritical about it. She had a concealed weapons permit to carry a handgun, yet if she had her way she would confiscate all of them from everyone else. You called it "nonsense" before. Some people take the BoR's seriously.... It is a shame you do not seem to and it is a bigger shame that politicians that swore to uphold them do not.
  9. The peace prize. When they gave it to Arafat "for their efforts to create peace in the Middle East", I first realized it was a joke. Some research proved my opinion to be pretty valid. Cordell Hull - President Franklin D. Roosevelt's Secretary of State. Basically forced the SS St Louis to turn around and sent half of its 950 passengers to death camps. Henry Kissinger in 1972 for his "stopping the Vietnam war" When they nominated Obama 12 days after he was sworn in for "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples,".... It pretty much confirmed it was a joke. People like this SHOULD win.... But politics wins in many cases.
  10. You are confusing (intentionally, I think) total US vote count and vote count by district. If everyone in CA was liberal and voted Dem.... Then not only would all reps from CA be 'D', but in your mind they should over ride Texas as well. The whole idea of representatives is that CA can't override another State.
  11. Yours DID change. Mine also changed. Price went up and the services went down. UPS employees lost the ability to sponsor a spouse. So things DID change. Nice selective edit. Instead of answering your question, I will ask you to go back and copy the actual context. No need... you said they didn't change and then showed how it went up. Pretty easy to see you are either: 1. Wrong. 2. Lying.
  12. Yours DID change. Mine also changed. Price went up and the services went down. UPS employees lost the ability to sponsor a spouse. So things DID change. And I suppose services and premiums had never changed in the previous, say, 25 years. Take that up with HIM. He said they did not change, then mentioned it going up 40 bucks.
  13. And so was the majority in the HOUSE.
  14. Do you know how long the government has had that number? http://www.snopes.com/politics/medical/phone.asp So Clinton started the finger for little old ladies? Just sad. Really. It's a phone number, picked at random, just happens to spell something if you have the mind of a 10-year-old. Grow up. Nice personal insult Mod!!!!! http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1580205;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread 1. No personal attacks
  15. I dont think they are the finest. I don't think a cop should have any more rights than an average citizen. I know plenty of cops.... Many of them I would not trust the keys to my house.
  16. The group had superior force. The guy with a gun would have been superior to him not having one. I used to teach martial arts.... There is no way in hell I could defend myself against 30 people without being armed. The better my self defense weapon, the better my odds. Again, you are making some assumptions. First that the thugs had guns... A fair assumption. But then you are assuming that the group think mentality would continue after a gun was inserted into the equation. When guns are drawn, the group mentality changes from "we can easily take him" to "Some of us are going to get shot". Most people do not want to get shot and unless they are combat trained.... They will run. To quote "the Shootist" John Bernard Books: First of all, friend, there's no one up there shooting back at you. Second, I found most men aren't willing, they bat an eye, or draw a breath before they shoot. I won't. Yep, up until "it gets real" and you might be the one shot. Then a switch flips. A crowd is a dangerous thing... When it goes back to a group of individuals, the steam is taken out of the group quickly.
  17. Yours DID change. Mine also changed. Price went up and the services went down. UPS employees lost the ability to sponsor a spouse. So things DID change.
  18. You skipped this: How do you know they didn't read it? We had testaments from those who voted FOR it that they didn't read it. Besides, not reading it and not trying to make it law is a lesser evil than just voting for it and not knowing what is inside it. To put it in car sales speak.... Why should I read all of the loan documents if I AM NOT buying a car? Who in your opinion should read all the loan documents? a). The person signing them. b). A guy NOT buying a car.
  19. How do you know they didn't read it? We had testaments from those who voted FOR it that they didn't read it. Besides, not reading it and not trying to make it law is a lesser evil than just voting for it and not knowing what is inside it. To put it in car sales speak.... FALSE, they are exempt.... Read the bill.
  20. No, we are not saying they DO. We are saying they SHOULD. If your client buys a car from you and does not bother to read the details... Who is on the hook? THEM. But if congress does not read the details we ALL are on the hook. Potentially 313M people. And again, (you didn't answer this before)... When the person buying a car from you finds out that since they didn't ready the fine print... Who is at fault for the higher interest rate? You or them? Who pays for it, you or them? You would have to ask him. But why don't you ask why those who voted FOR it... Didn't bother to read it?
  21. Not possible. DC does not allow people to carry guns.
  22. And whose fault would it be if they signed a contract that was terrible for them? And if they end up with a contract that hurts them significantly... Who is to blame? You? And if you lied to them, or didn't understand it... Who is on the hook? You? Or them? Also the vast majority of people are NOT passing laws that will affect almost every single person in the US. Higher responsibility should bring a higher standard.
  23. I don't as a rule respond to foreigners, however, my friend's wife is too old to find work in FL's depressed economy. She is past 65 now. The point is, obamacare is only going to be for.... Well, I don't know who it is going to be good for. Companies are going to keep their workforce below 50 employees or work hours below 30 to keep from providing healthcare. They are? Maybe some marginal ones will, or those driven by pure greed, but I doubt that companies that actually value their workforce will crap all over their workers in this way. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/on-leadership/wp/2013/08/26/ups-to-cut-employees-working-spouses-from-its-health-plans/ Of course you will claim that UPS is "marginal", or "greedy", or "Don't value their employees".... Never mind that before ACA they provided it, now they don't. Don't let that factor into your already made decision. It is not actually a difficult concept. If you own a company and the govt just imposed a massive future expense to you, you too would take the least expensive road. But to try and blame the company for following the LAW is stupid. Put the blame where it lies... The Law.
