Thank you Mahatma Gandi. Of course, that's bullshit. You post everywhere on Dizzy with opinions and anything that comes to mind at the moment. You just like it.

When I have an answer I am not afraid to say so, that’s true. But many of the subjects that come up in this forum do not have answers. Only opinions. I will sometimes give an opinion, but only once. When the thread turns into the same points over and over, and especially when it turns to matters of faith, I find it quite pointless.

I reserve the right to jump in with one liners when I feel like it even if it annoys you. Perhaps others object but only you complain. I can live with that.

I consider you not especially serious.

Good grief, I hope to never feel especially serious. Especially here. Actually what I try to do is keep it light on top with a more serious undertone. It's not that I don't care, it's that I only have the questions not the answers.

New Jersey's experience was pretty much identical.  The road to hell and all that.

The enviro-nazis forced that on us a couple years ago here. Re-usable bags get filthy. During Covid the stores didn't know what to do. Cashiers were not allowed to touch them. I now have to buy plastic garbage bags instead of repurposing grocery bags. And don't get me started on paper straws at takeout restaurants.

Hey, we freely joined then freely left the Union.  What's the problem?

Countries almost never break up peacefully. The problem was the south wasn't strong enough to pull it off. And it still isn't.

Polite inquiry and non-confrontation followed by conceding defeat in the pursuit of comity? Good luck with hoping the best, most interesting arguments will adjust the worldview of the religious. No matter, I yield.

There was nothing interesting in either one you two's posts. Coreece was making no sense and you were mostly just rude.

Rox said when she drove it this week the motor was not as quiet as she remembered. At one point it went completely dead.  She couldn’t get in because the door handles wouldn’t pop out. She did manage to open the trunk and magically it all came back.

It must need a hard re-boot. Or a couple hammer strikes.

I don't know the details of the Carvana sale.  I can only assume the current troubles are not known to them.

I can’t be sure what you mean by “the electric motor is dying “ but it’s hard to imagine that the computer monitoring it would not let a reasonably careful buyer be aware of any problem like that.

    We’re not saving the planet.

Yup. The planet will be just fine with or without more or less billions of us. The planet could not care less. If it gets warmer and wetter for a million years or so until the changes we have wrought are balanced out does not matter. Party on Brent.

good luck on the GOP ever backing down from the lies and deception.  It worked for Hillary back in 2015-2016 - they made her a criminal demon and then not even an LEO investigation at any level once Trump got in office...... and their base is fucking stupid enough to believe anything they tell them.

It worked when John Kerry got Swift Boated as well.

Okay. But that means, of course, they are not “just the same as any other group of people.”

Back to context Joe. They are just people in more ways than not. They aren't aliens. Skydivers and police officers have more in common than not. But back to the subject at hand. The FOP have a posistion that the rioters need to be prosecuted. They endorsed Trump in 2020 based on his policies which as I said are to give police more slack to do whatever they want. And that is why they don't seem to care as much about what the rioters did to their members as you think they should. And don't forget that there were several LOs on that day who were not innocent of turning a blind eye. Cops tend to be on the right wing of society and it is in no way surprising that they tend to support Trump over nearly any Democrat.

Maybe someone should introduce him to MTG's kids; she even has a daughter named Lauren. Of course, none of them are minors, so that might be a problem

This is something completely missing from politics in Canada. We have almost no reporting on what the children of our leaders do that might be embarrassing to their parents. It's almost as though it is somehow irrelevant.

Nonsense. They are our paid employees who are tasked with our safety not using their given powers to advance themselves at the expense of their employers. They are in fact a very unique group of people whose misdeeds absolutely fall into the "thats surely worse" category when they violate our trust. It shouldn't take a second to identify other such groups.

Nice job of completely ignoring the context and meaning of a single sentence Joe. You should consider a second career in politics.

No doubt the replacement will be more MAGA/crazy, but we can hope they’ll be nowhere near as effective as McConnell (at least as effective as McConnell when he’s not glitching)

    Josh Hawley crazy?

Edit...That decision will not be made until after the election. If Trump becomes POTUS again his endorsement will probably be the deciding factor and he is known to favour Rick Scott. . If Biden wins it will probably go to one of the current more senior leaders. The most important thing is will he (and it will be a he) be the majority or the minority leader.

Assuming there is a special election, the Democrats should be unlimited amounts of money to get someone elected in KY.

He is not resigning his Senate seat. Only the leadership. His term is not expiring and there will be no special election unless he dies or serves it out.

Obviously as a woman you do not understand the nature of a pissing contest and the need of a man to get the last squirt in.

That's cool. Interestingly Diesel engines are enjoying huge success in the light aircraft market right now - Diamond alone sell a heck of a lot of them. They're heavier than equivalent hp aircooled petrols, but with a much lower fuel burn and JetA is 60% the cost of Avgas (at least over here).

If a usable STC for a diesel engine was available for our 182s we would probably switch. It may not happen though because the type is already kind of nose heavy.

The gist is that BYD and Geely the big chinese automakers are going to be selling EVs & PHEVs in the US soon and will be cheaper than Tesla, and cheaper than any domestic / european ICE cars / SUVs.

This will flip the script of subsidy debates, instead of the conservatives griping over EV tax credits they will be clamoring for EV tariffs to push the price back up.

BYD has recently said that they are not even considering entering the US market. A large reason for that is probably that imported EVs are not eligible for any US subsidies.

Too late, you are already. Just blocking someone doesn’t mean they block you. You enjoy posting too much to not be in the experiment.

I may be nibbling around the edges of the bait a bit.

Could be but it could also be that you aren't getting the joke because you're stuck on a definition. For example, tossing different colored mice into the herpetarium to see what works could be trolling but it could also be science, the work of a complete asshole, or, for some people, just plain fun. And that's why I think we ought not to be applying a narrow label like "troll" to folks when it's equally likely that we're a part of an important experiment.

I'm going to take a hard pass on volunteering to be a rat in that maze.

Brent is not trivial. He posts on what he believes as opposed to farming the site for things to post on just to stay relevant. I do not think he's a troll, I just think he's speaking to an audience that is not us.

I believe you are half wrong. He is a believer, but he is playing us. Either that or he is stupid which I do not think is the case.
