That's easy. Angry frightened people get passionate. The left (actually the center in the USA) is not yet frightened. But the successful attack on reproductive rights is changing that somewhat. What are you doing about the great lie machine?

Ain’t no one surprised.

At this point now that Trump is solidifying his hold on the R party the only thing that can turn the situation around is a true thumping of them in November. If people turn out it could happen.

No, and he never did except for an episode of blocking it out in an area near Crimea for a time.

And today Trump managed to make himself look even less sharp than Biden does.

There is truth in that. When you get down to it about a third of the people will be voting for Trump. The other 2/3 s can stop him if they can be bothered to.

The outcome of the election is largely up to the will of the American people. Yes, I know the Electoral College slants in favour of whoever is the R nominee but even so in a semi-democracy the people get the leaders they deserve. If Trump gets in again who is to blame? It is not the media or the corporations. Neither of these vote. The people vote if they are so inclined. It is just freaking mind boggling.

I am more critical of those who respond to trolls than I am to the trolls themselves.

Now what? Biden is called old and infirm. Then he goes and basically confirms it. Is it too late to find a qualified D candidate? Yes, it probably is. A second Trump term is looking more and more likely.

I'm pretty sure we all know and knew that the narrowly decided CO ruling would not stand. It is going to be overturned most likely unanimously.

Yes to this. The comment he made was a little cryptic and could easily be sarcasm. And his recent posting record shows that he mostly posts helpful comments in other forums here and not much in SC.

Is there such an affliction as “trollism”?

Well for one Gary Bettman is working with the forces of darkness to move the Jets to New Orleans or Peoria.

The part I find offensive is the 'good racism' that underlies its origins, the culture of victimization, the identity politics and the denial of any perspective that is not in conformity with its belief system.
I'm sure there are good qualities that I missed.
That is because you are laser focused on your anger over the feeling that someone may get something you don’t feel they necessarily deserve. And are completely unwilling to acknowledge the advantages you have and did nothing to deserve. It is an egregious form of entitlement.

Woke is like obscenity. I can’t define it but I know it when I see it.

The USA doesn’t have the market cornered on tin foil hats. They just get more press than those igloo dwellers up north!!!;)
Conspiracy believers and antivaxxers both haunt the dz here. But are a small minority.

That is a big project. 7 square miles of desert needed. California is not the only state that can do this, but not every state can. I found this interesting page on CA energy sources. It's already 2 years old so it doesn't include this facility coming on line.
Trump's decline

What a time to be alive. At least the dotard qualifies as a Boomer (just barely). Biden is too old and is from the previous generation. You would think the baby boom generation would be in charge by now.
