It's systemic racism as opposed to the systematic denial of timelines or social injustices, for example. BTW how's that border hysteria going?

I hate the common misuse of that word as well.

The question remains. What is a legal and effective method to remove the estimated 325+ million guns in private ownership.

That is indeed the heart of the matter. And there is no good answer except a change to the constitution. And that can't happen at the current time because the huge amount of political will needed does not exist.

If guns laws work then why were there over 3,000 gun deaths? Maybe criminals don't obey laws.

Another silly reply. Should have included the word "effective" so that you could follow.

The point is clear, "criminals with guns don't follow the law." Passing ineffective laws is done to make people think something was accomplished. Effective and enforceable laws are required.

You must be kidding. Or deluded. Or both. The USA is special in that it does not have gun laws. At least not in the context of the rest of the world. You don't have laws, you have guns instead.

We have plenty of immigrants in our area and don't have problems.  I have no clue of the percentage. On TV this morning a high school in Sumter with a Hispanic principal announced their first black female being admitted to West Point. The custom-built McMansion next to me was built by various Hispanic workers. The only whites on the job were the electricians and the cabinet makers.

This is a prime example of an R politician whipping up the white base about immigration.

Sounds like he's going to appeal to Trump supporters a lot more than he will appeal to Biden supporters.

I know that right wingers are hoping he will draw from the left by attracting those who think Biden is too old. I think the reality is that Trump supporters have a large number of crazies among them and that RFK is their kind of people. Plus he will give those true conservatives who can't bring themselves to vote for a D POTUS another place to go.

Look homie, it's a tailgate aircraft eh?  It's also not just a tailgate aircraft, but a Russian tailgate aircraft.  Your training should be able to answer this question.  Spasiba.

    Can probably figure something out.

"Contrary to public perception, we observe considerably lower felony arrest rates among undocumented immigrants compared to legal immigrants and native-born US citizens and find no evidence that undocumented criminality has increased in recent years. Our findings help us understand why the most aggressive immigrant removal programs have not delivered on their crime reduction promises and are unlikely to do so in the future."

Illegal immigrants go through a lot of trouble to leave their home and go to whatever western country they are aiming for. They tend to be highly motivated, like all immigrants tend to be. They also have good reason to keep their heads down and not attract the attention of authorities.

When smart people like BillE believe more guns=more safety on our streets just because, and it is just because, all his local homeys in South Carolina believe it and he is steeped in the same guns=good and liberals=bad culture then true impossibility of making meaningful progress becomes even more painfully clear.

Yet he is careful to say that he is only watching to see if it is true. He wants it to be true but he doesn't claim here that it is. Instead he quotes someone else and disclaims that he believes. Why? I can only speculate that he knows deep down that it is nonsense.

I can understand why Putin is concerned about his weakening support.  He garnered barely 113% of the vote in the recent election.

The interesting part to me is the intelligence gathering prowess of the NSA. They predicted this attack just like they warned Ukraine that Putin would attack. All without even having TikTok under their control.

I didn't reference a source. But if you're in the mood for research I might recommend the  Yemen Times, the Houthi Herald, the Gaza Register Guard, or the Somali Sun-Sentinal.

Not that much need for research. Some people just believe or want to believe in the truth of the quote generally attributed to Robert Heinlien about "an armed society is a polite society". Most of the world can see the inherent untruth in this.

  11. Apparently the US embassy in Moscow warned that it had indications that extremists were planning something like this. Putin was not amused and it seems did not take the warning seriously.

Earlier this month, the US embassy in Russia said it was “monitoring reports that extremists have imminent plans to target large gatherings in Moscow,” including concerts. The embassy warned US citizens to avoid large gatherings.

In a speech Tuesday to Russia’s federal security agency, Putin called the embassy’s warnings about potential terror attacks in Moscow “provocative,” saying “these actions resemble outright blackmail and the intention to intimidate and destabilize our society.”

MTG has just made a motion to oust him after he was foolish enough to do his job and call for a vote on the temporary measure that funded the government.  The GOP has responded forcefully by . . . not recognizing her, so she can't introduce it and start the clock on it.

A significant number of democrats have said that if a motion to vacate does come up they will vote to keep Johnson. Apparently they have had enough. Leadership is signalling that they are willing to make a deal to continue to support him in exchange for an up or down vote on aid to Ukraine.

Come on Ken, you’re more clued in than that. Next to 100% of those Biz jet FBO’s are leases on federally funded airports and already pay a flowage fee as a part of the lease.

Actually I have no idea how tax collection works on US airport fuel sales. I just know that if you have different tax rates on fuel depending on who the end user is then you will need a way to identify the end user at the pump. My assumption is that the same fuel vendors who service other aircraft also fuel "biz jets". A term which doesn't really have a legal definition. The devil as always is in the details.

Already they are pay a couple bucks more a gallon to the FBO, a couple more to the coffers wouldn’t even be noticed. Not the battle they want to fight.

Self reporting? I guess you can trust everyone to be honest. That's why it's okay to cut the IRS budget. No one cheats. Everyone always pays their taxes fully and completely.

I doubt Trump is quaking in his boots at all.  He is a narcissistic sociopath, and he actually believes he has done nothing wrong, and he also believes he can do no wrong and he also believes that he should not be held accountable for anything he does or has done.

Fear is not something he can comprehend.  he is perfect and he believes that.   The reality will be far different that his perception of it, and all that means as he loses case after case is that he will become more unhinged.... BECAUSE he is a narcissistic sociopath.

He may not be afraid. But he sure enough is getting more and more angry.

Yep.  And for proof of this, look no further than the politicians who are bragging about getting funding for their constituents, funding they voted against because deficit.

See that cake over there? I'm going to eat it. But don't worry, there's always going to be more for me to eat.

Why not all aviation fuel being taxed at the same increased amount?

I'm pretty sure that would have to be the case. Who would define "biz jet" and how would the tax be enforced? Dyed fuel?

Well that $0.66.5 agallon you pay goes to build and repair the roads your Subaru drives on. Bizjet's dont use them.

How does the ATC and airport system get paid for?

Also know as Real GDP growth. Real GDP defined as growth factored for inflation.

Not all business schools teach about the difference between real GDP growth and nominal GDP growth. You get what you pay for in education.
