Actually they only started writing me off when I started bringing my rig to the packing mat and started packing it ERGO my initial post. I am probably the most friendliest person... I apologize, I WAS probably the most friendliest person anyone could met, I'd bend over backwards to brighten anyone's day I could, until today when I realized it is futile. Just like sisyphus and his rock, when you think you've made progress it all just comes crashing down on you... but alas, you try and try... to hell with that, I'm done trying. The whole reason I got the spectre was because it seems to be pretty popular for jumpers just off student status with from what I've seen, have the best reviews from openings, response, and landings... which is all I need. I remember when I didn't know much about the science of canopies, Skymama took a chunk outta me because I told her I was looking for a stiletto, she chewed me out for my stupidity, after that, I studied and did my research... figured a spectre was a good buy for me, so I bought it! I don't mean to be a ass, but don't sugarcoat your post when your flat out telling me I'm not welcome on your load. I've been to many DZ's, most of which run up and down the US eastern seaboard.. and I'm not stopping there. So if you see me, (you'll get that cognitive feeling and it will probably be me if you get it) either get on the plane or don't. I don't care anymore. I weigh 140lbs... 5'8-9 skinny as hell. Here's a simple fix, unionize a collective of DZO's, start validating people's jump numbers with their wingloads, blacklist them from whatever load you'll be on, then come to Italy and tell my coach she's out of her mind... no offense.... it would just help me decide whether or not I should take your advice or my instructors, I'll even take a look at what names you guys come up with and keep a watchful eye for them. You started it! under confused preminition, but I'll loose if you do... I've been switching DZ's quite often due to circumstances, some places were cool, actually... all of them are cool, I'm just bumping my head against the wall with this DZ. and, as yours.. my instructors are all about helping and they do whatever they can to help me, but it's the people who look at me and are all like, "man, f*ck that guy... does he think he is a skydiver or something?" blah blah blah.. so I'm left alone, and it sucks... I hear ya, which is why I would NEVER EVER jump anything that wasn't approved by my superiors..., If the winds are too unpredictable and coach sez "you know your not jumping your gear, right?" I have no choice but to comply. But when she confides in me, it's all good. Im more pissed at the jibber-jabber around the DZ, like the "He don't derserve that piece", or the "hell, he'll last 5 months then go back to whatever..." or some are most likely just being genuinely nice. But there definitly is tension in the air, I just hope it doesn't snap. I guess I just care too much what people think, whatever... Im young I'll grow out of it. We'll see what next week brings. no no, it's not that their telling me not to jump it, I mean, in my opinion... my canopy responds very calculated and time precise and is relativly a great fly, but thats not my problem. I wouldn't jump something my instructors thought I wasn't ready for, so it's not really my choice. Anywho... I'm over it... thanks anyway though. I mean damn,... can I not have new gear???? I don't see what the big deal is... sure there will be plenty more, but if it's me who's going to get it dirty... I'm going to be the one to get it dirty, like I have to wait a while to jump a new canopy, fudge that, it works.... it opens.... it flys.....
