Hi, I did my first 2 static line jumps last weekend and the exits weren't that good. On the first jump I jumped from in the plane outside instead of sitting in the door of the plane. Got 'only' seven linetwists

At that jump he didn't wear his helmet (probably because he was going to land in the water and landing with a helmet could have done more harm then good). He doesn't always wear it. There are some pictures around on which he doesn't wear his helmet.

It is possible that Slim did a 5 reverse, I don't know that. I only know of the 4 on a square. Jeb did his 5 reverse with a white round chute, so I guess that with the yellow won't be him.

Jeb Corliss has done 5 reverse sommersaults of the bridge with a round parachute. Footage can be seen in one of his videos. Slim once did 4 reverse sommersaults with slider down square chute and later did the same jump at a 400 ft cliff in Moab.

I am not sure if a really huge amount of people entering the sport is a good thing. I don't want basejumping to become mainstream and to become commercialised. I don't want basejumping to become a sport like football. Basejumpers are a happy little family, and I would like that it stays that way when I can enter the sport. While getting the family a bit bigger isn't bad, to much is to much. A wise guy once told me that base is somewhere now where skydiving was around 25 years ago. If I look at what skydiving is these days, I don't want base to become like that! I do agree that seeing videos of advanced jumps etc, can inspire you to work hard to be able to do that too. Videos of advanced gymnastic manouvers inspire me to train around 5 hours a week at the pool. Looking at it that way, Jimmy's videos advance the sport in an indirect way. People here want to help each other, share knowledge, discuss things to progress the sport of Basejumping. If that is whining and etc to you shouldn't hang around here. If you are here to start fighting, then please go somewhere else. You are welcome to participate here in discussions, but please, be a bit friendlier towards everyone here. haha, this makes me think of a video of Jhonny Utah who was talking to some children about base. At the end he asked who wanted to jump and a large group of the kids raised their hands. Hilarious

If there is anything as a non jumper that I have learned over time, it is that this is NOT true. I'm just thinking at Slim's 180 for example. Good exit, probably good packjob, very experienced guy. Still he got hurt. Everything was done right, but it didn't turn out 'right'.

Anyone else having extremly slow download speed? It is taking forever to download this. Or I guess downloading everything at +300 kB/s is addictive

Obvious question now: what would you consider adult responsibilities? And, are adult activities and adult responsibilities not closely related? I mean, if you can't participate in adult activities, isn't it more difficult to take up adult responsibilities then? Feel free to PM me is this is going to much off topic.

A deathcamper is some-one without of with very limited skydive experience is thoughed how to basejump. I think S.M. started to use these terms, probably just jokewise. Really, just forget about yonkels etc. Use the terms used in skydive.
