  1. Woolly! It's about time you post on here and what better time to do it then while you are at work! You are now officially a skydiver in the working world because you are now getting paid to screw around online, reading random posts In answer to your question, I think that the most useless superpower, and by the way I personally know somone that has this power, would have to be being able to fart on command.....although this would have its benefits in the jump plane so I can get back at you for all the times that you filled the Cessna with your toxic ass gas! Now, I have to disagree with you on your choice of useless superpowers. I don't think that constantly having to take a shit but can't qualifies as a superpower. That to me is just constipation I think Christie has you beat there with her always being able to know the time power. FALLATIO #13 PELT HEAD #20
  2. I actually posted a thread about this problem a few months ago about my wings container. Every time I would go into a sit or was flying on my back the reserve tuck tab would come out exposing the reserve pin. I contacted sunrise rigging about this and they were extremely helpful. Ankie was very responsive and had me take some pictures of my rig for her to see. They ruled out my reserve pack job being the problem so they had me send my container to them to be fixed. I have a 2001 model which had the old style reserve flap. They upgraded my flap and added some stiffners in it and has since then totally fixed the problem. The newer wings models fixed the problem. They have a slightly longer reserve flap with better stiffners. My advice, contact Ankie at sunrise rigging and she will tell you if you need to send it down to them or not. If you need to send it there, they will provide you with a UPS account number so shipping is no charge to you. Sunrise rocks! FALLATIO #13 PELT HEAD #20

  6. There is usually a pretty good mix of people that come to this. A lot of people from Skydive Suffolk come out, a couple people from Chambersburg and of course the normal West Point crew. There will be about 40 people coming form Virginia Tech and North Carolina. Anyone else know of some groups that are coming feel free to chime in! FALLATIO #13 PELT HEAD #20
  7. In my own personal opinion this is by far the best boogie in the state of Virginia! Jim Crouch gets a CASA for the weekend and there are plenty of big ways, raft dives, hoop dives, freeflying, and whatever else you can think of. Every load has some kind of RW organization (usually at least 10 ways) and people are almost always welcome to join in on those. Loads are easy to manifest for and turn arounds are quick. I look forward to this boogie all year long!! The night life is amazing and we have one hell of a fun halloween costume contest. I'm in the Virginia Tech skydiving club and we are all going to be there in full force to win the contest again this year. The crew from Adrenaline Air Sports in North Carolina is coming with us and shuts down completely to come to this boogie. I have to warn you though that there may be a late night nudist, tent crasher, colony again like last year! I could seriously go on about this boogie forever but if you want to know anything else PM me and I'll fill you in. Come on out....you won't regret it! FALLATIO #13 PELT HEAD #20

  9. This story was serious and almost had some very bad consequences. I have seen the video of this malfunction and it is not pretty to watch. The drogue was thrown unstable which tangled around both the TM's and student's legs. The TM kicked the drogue out but it was still caught around the student's toe without him knowing it. The pair was flying stable and you can see the TM geek the camera and acting happy not aware of the trouble that is about to happen to them both. Thinking that he cleared the drogue, the TM released it at pull time but since it was a Vector system, I believe, the drogue collapsed and did not have enough drag to depoly the main successfully. Thinking that this was a drogue in tow the TM deployed the reserve which etangled with the main. The two landed in a field next to the dropzone and neither was hurt thank God. The camera man did not try to clear the drogue from the student's, which he very much regrets now, but did try to allert the TM to no avail. FALLATIO #13 PELT HEAD #20
  10. You probably have a better comparison than I do just because you used the same canopy with two different line sets. I'm comparing two different canopies, a 190 and 150 which might have different openings just based on the size difference. We did have the same wing loading on the two canopies at 1:1 FALLATIO #13 PELT HEAD #20
  11. Before I downsized I used to fly a Spectre 190 with Mico lines and it was a pretty soft opening but quite comfortable. I didn't have any really long snivles and it never rocked me on opening. My wife flys a Spectre 150 with Dacron lines and has very long snivles! She bought the canopy from a camera flyer who wanted the soft opening canopy with the bigger line set so that his camera woudln't hurt his neck on opening. She has consistant 1,000 foot snivles and has even reached her hard deck by the time she was in the saddle. This caused her to reach for her cutaway handle once or twice but luckily she didn't have to use it. Overall she loves the soft openings but she found that she has to pull a few feet higher to get her open at the altitude that she is comfortable at. Unless you have a reason for very slow opening (camera flying), I would suggest micro lines on the Spectre. Kevin FALLATIO #13 PELT HEAD #20
  12. Sounds like a hell of a good time! I'll be there with my wife and some of my buddies from the Virginia Tech Skydiving Club! We haven't had a chance to come out to Orange much this summer so it will be a good excuse! We have been trying to get some stills taken too so I might have to come steal you for a jump if you wouldn't mind. We'll see you there! Kevin FALLATIO #13 PELT HEAD #20
  13. That is pretty cool but here is a much more economical and poor skydiverly way of having fun on a wind hold! FALLATIO #13 PELT HEAD #20
  14. Sounds like a hell of a good time! I've only been to Orange a hand full of times but my wife and I, and a couple other people from the VA Tech skydiving club will be there too!! FALLATIO #13 PELT HEAD #20
  15. I did AFF at Suffolk a couple years ago but haven't been back there too much since I am now living near DC. I'm going back to VA Beach this weekend and am planning on making a couple jumps like old times and noticed on skydive suffolk's website www.skydivesuffolk.com that they now have a PAC 750 XL!! What is going on here? Did Larry get rid of the King Air and what is it like jumping those planes?? It looks pretty bad ass! FALLATIO #13 PELT HEAD #20
  16. I'll be making a trip to Vegas at the end of August and am hoping to play around in the tunnel for a bit. Does anyone know what the temperature is like in there? I was there in March a year ago and it was hot but not too bad but I can't imagine what it will be like when it is 110 degrees outside! Has anyone flew in that tunnel during August and is it even worth my time?? FALLATIO #13 PELT HEAD #20
  17. A space shuttle exerts about 3 Gs on the people inside during a launch. To put it into perspective a 190 pound person being subjected to 3 Gs would would feel like they are 570 pounds. You would have to be pretty damn strong to hold that let alone be fire-proof enough to withstand 6,100 degrees of heat! FALLATIO #13 PELT HEAD #20

    Creepy!

I may be losing it but go to [url]www.skydivewings.com and look at the picture on the homepage of the couchfreak guy holding the tube. There appears to be a face in his tube just to the right of his right hand! I think I might need to lay off the peyote at work FALLATIO #13 PELT HEAD #20
  19. My wife and I did our 100th jumps together down at Z-Hills back on New Years Eve. It's a lot of fun to celebrate those milestone jumps but not so fun to suffer the consequences My friends found us at midnight, pied the hell out of us, and then threw us in the swoop pond for a little bath....and yeah they had to put blue dye in the water that week Myyyyyyy buddies! Congrats on your 100! FALLATIO #13 PELT HEAD #20
  20. Thanks for the responses! I just got an email back from Ankie at Sunrise and they think that it is probably just the reserve pack job that is causing the problem. I got it repacked not too long ago so that would make sense. They suggested that I send a picture to them, which I did last night so I will probably hear back again pretty soon. Let's hope that's all it is! FALLATIO #13 PELT HEAD #20
  21. I have a Wings container with roughly 200 jumps on it. I used to have a Spectre 190 in it but recently downsized to a Silhouette 170. The container was built for a 170 according to my rigger. Ever since I downsized I noticed that my reserve flap comes loose exposing the pin when I freefly or do a lot of moves where the relative wind hits the hits the container directly (not belly to earth.) I spoke to the master rigger at our DZ about this and he couldn't really think of much he could do to fix the problem but said that he would give it a try. Has anyone expreienced this at all with their container or have any suggestions on how I can keep that flap from coming up? Thanks! FALLATIO #13 PELT HEAD #20
  22. On Saturday July 2, 2005 Skydive Chambersburg in Pennsylvania is going to have 4 way scrambles followed by a pig roast hosted by Griff!! Come on out and join in the festivities! Registration is at 8AM....wow that's early! FALLATIO #13 PELT HEAD #20

  24. Be very afraid. The Virginia Tech skydiving club will be there and taking over once again. Barforce 1 will be heavily stocked and intoxicating the innocent and not so innocent little skydivers throughout the nights. And who knows, we may even see another nudist colony like at the Halloween boogie! I won't give away too much but one of the jumps that is planned may get a little "nutty" FALLATIO #13 PELT HEAD #20
