Let's just say you all have it pretty easy with co-workers. Try working with doctors, especially women physicians. They can make you feel like you are lower then the crap that grows on crap. It took me a bit of time to learn to work with one female physician and the trick is coffee, coffee and more coffee. I now have developed a permanent twitch in my eye that won't stop from all the caffeine...... hehehehe

Skydiving has it's risk but if you pay attention to what you are told you will be okay. I really think you should try it at least once. It is natural to be scared of this but once you do it you will realize you want to do it all the time. I work for a doctor at an urgent care in Lake Tahoe and we see several concussions a week. You should go and get checked out. Some concussions can last a few weeks to several months. If your symptoms persists it is very important to follow up with a doctor. That means getting a CT scan to rule out...something more serious. What you will experience is referred to as "post concussion syndrome." Drink lots of water get plenty of sleep and keep your feet on the ground for a bit. I got a concussion well wearing a helmet a few years ago and I didn't feel right for 3-4weeks. My parents knew that I've always wanted to go skydive, they just didn't think I would ever do it. When I told my mon she just got quiet and asked if I got whatever it was out of my system. When I told my dad he flipped out. I waited a few weeks and then told them both that I was going to be jumping a lot this summer.They are slowly coming around but i know they don't like it. You need to just tell your parents what you have been doing, hey they might surprise you in their reactions. Give them time to come around and if they don't just tell them this is something you are going to do because you enjoy it. I start AFF in a few weeks and have been reading so many different peoples views about having someone else pack for you. I have decided when I get my own gear to pack myself. It's not how much it cost, it's my gear and I rather do it. You don't know if the person your paying to pack made a mistake. Not that they would be careless in packing, you just don't know. No matter what sport you do you should now your equipment inside and out. Not rely on someone else to take care of your stuff because it is easier. I am new to Skydiving and I start AFF at the end of April. I do remember signing a legal document saying I assume all responsibility for any damages that occurred if the chute wasn't packed properly by one of the packers. I don't think it's right that this guy has to pay retail and the DZ that contracts out to the packers should have some kind of insurance that would cover the at least half of the cost. Could this error have been caught before this guy jumped by going over a check list or something?
